"Okay class, this is it for today and I'll see you all next week. Oh and those of you who have yet to choose a poem for your first project, better have it till next time if you want to hand in the assignment in time" Miss Davis reminded us when the lesson ended.

"Are you heading out to watch the game?" Alisson walked over as I was putting away my stuff.

"Yeah, some of my friends are playing" I answered referring to Alex, Ben, and Zack.

"Cool, mind if I join you?" she asked slinging her bag over her shoulder.

It was now Wednesday and we were walking out towards the lacrosse field, where the qualification match was just about to start. The first half of the week was pretty mundane as I finally got a grip of how things worked around here and started with serious school work. Despite our upcoming date, things between me and Alex were chill and I was feeling more and more comfortable about it.

Mark, on the other hand, I haven't really seen since our 'movie night' which went as good as 'two practical strangers watching a movie' can go. We didn't talk much and he had to leave after the first part of Hunger games. All though he said, they will watch the rest another time, I ended up binge-watching all of them.

"You mind if we stop in the cafeteria? I wanna get some Sprite before the game" Alison asked taking out her wallet.

"Sure, I could use a snack as well" I agreed and we slowly made our way through the busy halls.

Alison was counting out her change and I was intensely staring at the vending machine, deciding on whether to buy KitKat or Snickers, as a sarcastic voice spoke up: "I know you're new here Abigail, but those don't work telepathically."

I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms to Eric's sly comment before finally choosing the KitKat and putting in my money.

"Shouldn't you be getting ready for the game?" I asked, turning around and my question was answered as soon as I saw him standing there in full gear. Then my eyes traveled to the person behind him and my mouth dropped open at the view of Oliver standing beside him geared up as well.

"Oh, just get over it Gally, he made me try out," Oliver said annoyed, taking off one of his gloves and running his hand through his hair.

"Get over it?!" I said with wide eyes: "You have never been on a sports team and have resented the idea of any community activities, but I'm just supposed to get over it?"

"Hey, you know what they say, new country new me" he shrugged.

"Forget the new country, this must be a different universe" I stated, still shocked by the situation, "besides, do you even know how to play?"

"Well if your little boyfriend can do it, I'm sure I'll be fine."

My cheeks heated up as he called Alex my boyfriend and before I could defend myself, Alison meaningfully cleared her throat.

"Oh right, Oliver this is Alison, Alison this is my brother" I introduced the two and they shook hands.

"We're just heading out to watch the game," I said and gestured outside, "I'm guessing I'll see you after?"

"Well if I make the first team, we'll probably go out to celebrate so you'll have to walk home" replied Oliver.

"Not 'if', but when my friend," said Eric supportively, "Anyways, we have to go. Ladies" he tipped his imaginary hat and Alison bowed, while I looked at them, weirded out by the gesture.
