10. The Truth

You walked down the hall and knocked on Ron's door "Ron, It's Y/n" you opened the door, walked in, and closed it behind you, Ron was sitting on his bed he didn't see you come "Ron you wanted to talk to me?" Ron looked up from his desk and closed his book "Uh yeah, come sit" Ron got up and sat on his bed, you smiled and went to sit down, "What's up Ronny?" Ron sighed "I couldn't help but overhear your conversation with Fred in the bathroom" Your heart sank "Ron I-" but you stopped mid-sentence you didn't know what to say, Ron cleared his throat "there's something I need to tell you about the breakup, It's actually something I should've told you a long time ago, but I was afraid" he looked at the floor in silence You were confused "Ron?" You placed your finger under his chin and lifted his head so he was looking directly into your eyes "Ron, what is it?" Ron let out a deep breath "You've gotta promise me something before I say anything else" You looked at him "Anything for you Ron" He looked at you "You gotta promise you won't be mad" You cocked your head "There is nothing you could say that'd make me mad, but I promise" He sighed "Do you remember when I said I wanted to break up with you because I just lost interest in you" you looked at him " the breakup part yes but anything after that, no" You looked down trying to avoid eye contact so you became very interested in your cuticle situation, Ron placed his fingers under your chin lifting your head so you were face to face "Well I lied, and I didn't want to break up with you, but I had to, to protect you" You looked Ron directly in the eye "Protect me from what Ronald?" Ron sighed "Not what, who," You thought who in the hell would want to hurt you "Protect me from WHO?" Ron sighed "Your father..." this stunned you, you didn't know what to say, Ron just continued, "Your father said that if I didn't break up with you he'd kill you" You looked at Ron "I know me and father have our differences, but I didn't think it was that bad, I always thought that maybe somewhere in that ice-cold exterior he loved me- but i-" you couldn't contain your emotions anymore you burst into tears and looked at Ron "Tell me am I that unlovable?!" Ron placed his hands on your cheeks "No, I- I still love so goddamn much and not just as a friend" you stopped crying and looked at Ron surprised (you two had never said I love you to each other) "Wh-what?" Ron sighed "I Love You Y/n Malfoy" You stared at Ron, He looked down "Say something, Y/n, say something" You lifted Ron's head up grabbed his face and kissed him passionately, You pulled away "Ronald Weasley... I love you" Ron smiled and kissed you again, you and Ron lay down and talked for a couple of hours when Molly yelled, "TIME FOR BED CHILDREN YOU HAVE SCHOOL TOMORROW" you sat up "I better head back into the Twins room" Ron smiled "Goodnight love" you smiled and kissed Ron "Goodnight Ron" and you walked out of his room and into the twin's room, Fred & George looked up the second they heard the door open, Fred piped up "You ok Y/n/n?" You closed the door "Yeah, Me and Ron sorted things out" you said with a smile, George piped up "Well that's good, now let's get some sleep" you smiled got into your pj's & gave Fred & George a kiss goodnight and climbed into bed with George, you fell asleep almost instantly, your slumber was peaceful until it wasn't ...
