"You ready?" Miss Todds stood, next to my obstacle course. I nodded in sheer terror. The course was long, and winded towards the end of the podium. There were seventeen columns, for every pair to work at, and mainly the obstacles were was scared me the most. I, being arrogant and enjoying the feel to be dominant, stupidly asked Rosa if I could be Partner '1'. Now, she stood behind me, happily enjoying her time before she had to do what I was about to. "You may begin the course." She shouted into a bullhorn, which was uncalled for.

I felt a rush of adrenaline pump through my vessels as I dodged swinging weights and dashed madly towards barriers, vaulted over cushioned tables, climbed freestyle up ropes and clambering to the raised level, and to the finish line. It was so energy-filled and a horrifying activity that Miss Todds had called 'fun' in the beginning of the lesson. I heard a bullhorn crackle and announce the fastest runner, and some loud applause, but I felt like a layer of fog was covering my ears, I heard everything muffled, and my eyes began to roll towards my brain. With a dizzy step, I fell backwards into a dazed and tired trance.

~~~
"Where am I?" I whispered in a coarse tone. A high-pitched squeal soundedn right by me, and I felt hot, sticky molten lava erupt from my eardrums. Or, that's what I felt anyway.
"SHE'S AWAKE! FINALLY! SHE'S AWAKE! NURSE, NURSE COBALT! YOU CAN REMOVE THE NEEDLES NOW!" Rosa's voice screamed. A lady in white, blue and pink rushed over, removing an ice-pack that I never even felt, from my forehead, and grabbing an oxygen mask, whick she rammed onto my face. I reacted by flinching and letting tears roll from my eyes. Well that turned out well... *SARCASM*. The tears dripped onto a cut I had on my cheek from when I fainted and scraped my face on the metal frame, as Rosa's alarmed eyes told me. From there, I winced and turned to my side. BAD IDEA. A ton of needles jabbed into me, some probably even tickling my bones. I shivered, I could feel the effect of the spikes that was on my nerves. A flood of emotions cascaded through me again. I literally jumped up and released myself from all the ruthless wires that connected me to the bed. I tried to zone out, failing miserably. I jumped up to my feet, dressing into my clothes that I had on earlier in the day, and removed my ungly, blue hospital gown, stripping don right in front of the nurse and Rosa-I didn't have cooties for nakedness. After I was done, I hurriedly walked out the room, with Rosa hot on my trail.
"Hey! You wanna hang out? I mean, you kinda skipped lunch." Rosa exclaimed, offering.
At that particular moment, my ruthless stomach decided to growl, indicating my famished feeling. "Sure, but let me go home and drop off my stuff first. Is that alright with you?"
Rosa blinked at me a flashed me her pearly white teeth paired with her happy thumbs up. "Can I tag along and...I don't know, meet your family?" Rosa sheepishly huffed, her action against the broiling heat. "I know, like it's the first day, and all...Hey! Your hair looks especially nice today!" She wheedled distractedly.
I choked back a laugh, letting a bit loose. "HAH! Rosa! You just met me today! It's like I'm being wooed again!"
"Again?" Rosa whispered. "What do you mean, again?"
My once laughter became serious and straight. "You don't know? Rosa? Do you recognise this face?" I motioned to myself. "Do you know why I moved here in the first place?" I squeaked.
She shuddered. "No, but I don't know if I want to know. Is it scary?"
Tears unconditionally began to roll down my face. "No, but it's sad."
"Let me know so I can help you through it."
That moment, the nurse came running out. She looked distressed and shocked. Waving her arms around worriedly, she ran around in circles screaming, "THE PRINCESS OF DARLINGS IS HERE! God, bless me!"
