friendship

idk just a friendship analysis thing, based on what I know from the show/other people's stories anyway :p + some headcanons

Swift & Penny

- big bro and lil sis who get along pretty well. Even so, Penny is sometimes alot more mature than Swift. Maybe this isn't that accurate, but I often see her as the "second-in-command" among the cadets, if Swift is the supposed leader.
- I think they'd share to each other first if they have a problem.
- Penny usually has different opinions that Swift thinks it's interesting, eventho he sometimes  doesn't quite understand her views.
- Swift doesn't like hugs that much (somehow he gets hugged alot, maybe it's fun to cling onto the tall friend lol) but doesn't mind when it's Penny because it's sort of comforting for him

Rod & Brody

- ehe it's the opposites; Rod always worries and easily scared while Brody is too chill and likes extreme things.
- They seem to be friends or atleast did hang out together, before going to Top Wing Academy, because Brody somehow knows that Rod doesn't like wet feathers and can't fly (eh I'm not sure).
- Rod sometimes doubts Brody's ideas but still follows it anyway.
- Even with their differences, they manage to resolve any disagreements.
- Atleast they both like to sing and dance. Also they're both loud.
- I think the phrase "sharing one brain cell" fits them lol

Penny & Rod

- Some of their interactions are kinda sibling-like; when Penny got mad because Rod's singing woke her up, when she teased him about the bear cave, when Rod didn't want her to eat kelp icers in the Road Wing, etc.
- Penny likes to mess with Rod because his reactions are funny, but she wouldn't overdo it.
- Rod worries about Penny alot, but he knows and trusts in her capabilities. (he's just protective of his friends)
- Maybe their personalities are quite different but they still get along and look out for each other.
- They spend time by Penny taking pictures or recording videos of Rod doing whatever because she likes photography and he likes being on camera.

Brody & Swift

- they're the flying dudes, basically the "cool guys" lol.
- Brody says stuff that makes Swift laugh. But also sometimes Swift doesn't understand what the heck Brody is talking about.
- They admire each others' skills which is Swift's flying stunts and Brody's surfing moves.
- Swift always reminds Brody about important things when Brody gets distracted to do something else.
- They both like to take on challenges and definitely like flying around together. 

Penny & Brody

- the chill water birds~ They get along because of their similarities and usually agree with each other.
- So when they're a team together, they're the least likely to experience any conflict among themselves.
- Brody admires Penny's persistence and Penny is always amazed by Brody's skills. They'll both hype each other up.
- They like to go to the beach for a swim or just relax there and drink lemon coconut juice.
- The chat together alot, either about deep meaningful topics or just talking about their day

Rod & Swift

- Rod is impulsive while Swift is more rational and is their voice of reason.
- So that's why Rod always gets in trouble and Swift gets them out of trouble.
- Swift thinks Rod is kinda funny sometimes but also wonder "why are you like this".
- Rod admires and looks up to Swift as the cool leader/big brother and he trusts him to be capable of anything (much like the other cadets too).
- Eventho Rod can be a pain in the neck, Swift acknowledges Rod's courage to overcome his fears and lowkey admires how he isn't afraid to express what he feels; something that Swift needs to work on.
- They spend time doing any activity that doesn't involve water or flying (maybe sports, running, idk)

haha now I can't stop thinking about the cadets' friendship,, I love their bond so much hnfjsdjh. I mean, well, it's the thing that made me interested in this show in the first place :p

there's probably more about their relationship that I forgot so feel free to add onto the list.
