Nerris gets bullied at home because she's a "nerd" (whoever is bullying her be ready to catch these motherfucking hands) and wears her cape in school, and the reason the hat and the cape (I think) are stitched is because she makes them herself with her dad, but the first one she had she'd bought from like a thrift shop or something, and she went into school with it and some kid ripped it on her and she went home and cried to her mum and dad, and then they made one together and kept making them from fabric they found around the house and they went out and frequently bought fabric and other materials and made loads and loads of capes, so she has a multitude of capes and hats at home, but she took her favourite one with her, the one her and her dad first made together. (The one she has now)
