______________

IT'S BEEN three days since I and mother arrived and everything was going well so far.

We met Sultan Suleiman the other day and he is truly kind and magnificent like everyone says he is.

Though I have yet to meet the princes my mother and Hurrem Sultan have been getting along great, I didn't expect the palace that my mother often complained about to now bring so much joy to her

I sit reading a book as Esin Hatun does my hair, I sigh getting bored of the book, I toss the book on the floor making Esin gasp.

"My sultana!" Esin squeals, I chuckle and shrug my shoulders, "the book is terribly boring what do you expect!" I say throwing my hands up in defense.

Esin chuckles, "you always lose interest in things so fast, maybe if you just tried to read it then you would realize that it is a good book!" She signed.

I shrug my shoulders and giggle, "now Esin, you know that will never happen, I get bored way too easily!"

"Okay, my sultana if you say so, " she says as she pats my head and hands me the mirror so I can see my hair.

I smile at my finished hair. Ever since I was a baby Esin has been there to help me out and take care of me when my mother got tired of me, I don't know what i'd do without her...

"Well, I would like to visit the gardens today Esin, we could eat there today if my mother agrees to it, " I suggest with a smile before pushing myself up from my seat.

Esin nods her head, "I will ask your mother but im sure she will-"
just as Esin was about to finish off her words a knock came to my room doors.

Both I and Esin instantly turned our heads towards the doors. Who could that be? If it was my mother she would have just burst through and no one other than her come to visit me.

Thoughts of every possibly went through my mind but I didn't worry too much about it because more likely it was just a maid wanting to clean up around my rooms.

"Pass!" I said while looking at the door curiously to who would walk through my doors.

It shocked me most when a boy around my age with auburn hair walked through my doors instead of a maid.

"Hello Sultana, " he spoke up after respectfully bowing to me.

I looked over at Esin with confusion and she just shrugged her shoulders with the same look of confusion on her face.

"Hello, how may I help you? Who are you?" I ask quickly with a bit of nervousness in my voice but I made sure to keep my head high because if my mother was here and even saw the slightest bit of nervousness in me she'd be furious.

The young boy chuckles and pushes his hair away from his face before responding, "I did not mean to worry you, Sultana, and to answer both questions, I am Sehzade Bayezid, my mother asked me to come speak with you and ask if you wanted to join me to eat in the gardens, " he said in a soft tone.

My nerves calmed down once I found out who was standing in front of me.

"Oh, I understand Sehzade, I apologize for my silly worries and questions, I would love to join you in the gardens but first I must speak with my mother about it, " I say smiling.

Bayezid nods his head also holding a smile on his face. He takes a glance around the room but suddenly his eyes fall on the book laying on the floor.

"Le roi de tous les maux, " he speaks pointing a finger to the book, making both Esin and I look to the book that I had tossed aside so quickly.
