When Thursday Comes

So how was your first night? It must have been good, considering you're in one piece. Did you talk to Eric? And? He told you the plan, didn't he? What do you mean' sort of '? Oh, okay,  he just told you to find yourself a weapon, didn't he? You have to understand that we don't really know what's up there. We only have one person on the team who was living on the surface long before the war started. His name is Brian. Yeah, you should really go talk to him if you want to know. He doesn't like kids that much though, so I'd be careful what you say.

        So anyway, did you talk to anyone else? Marcel, huh? I'd be careful around him. Why? Well, reasons. Reasons that I won't get into. Besides, you're not going to be here very long, so why give you something to worry about? You're not going anywhere with him, are you? No? Good. I wouldn't want something to happen to you. You only got here yesterday. You still won't say where you came from, huh? What do you mean you don't know? Okay, okay, I'll stop pressuring ya. It could just be important, you know?

        Anyway, Eric wants to talk to you again. He was real worried about you. Yeah, he was, which is surprising. Eric's a good lad and all, but he only worries about things he finds important. I guess he finds you important. Don't be embarrassed, be honored! Eric doesn't even worry about me sometimes, and we've known each other since this war started. We were even childhood sweethearts. Yeah, in those teenage years, he certainly found me important. 

        Anyway! Probably shouldn't have told you that, but the thing is, Eric only worries about things he gets attached to, and be happy that he doesn't hate you or else you wouldn't know anything that goes on around here. What, you thought he kind of did? Well, that's just the way Eric is. He might seem kind of cold or weary about ya at first, but inside he's just a big ball of honey. What, people don't say that? Oh sorry, sorry.

        Anyway, sorry for boring you again. I do that a lot, don't I? Actually, don't tell me. I'll probably be offended either way. So remember to talk to Eric, and if you want you can talk to Brian. He usually hangs around the in the Science Lab in Bunker 6. Oh! That reminds me. Lucy might be there too, and you might want to talk to her. She's a girl your age and she's coming on Thursday as well. You guys might want to chat a bit and get to know each other. It's nice to have kids your age around you know, for someone to talk to.

        Okay, so Brian, Lucy, and Eric. Make sure to talk to them, and if you'd rather not go to Bunker 6, than that's okay too. Just make sure to talk to Eric. He hasn't stopped talking about you all day, and I'm scared he'll have a heart attack if you put it off 'til tomorrow.

        I'll see you around, and don't get lost! Not that it's hard to or anything, but you are new and don't know your way around too easily. Anyway, don't let me keep you.
