Prom night came and Betty and Jughead were going together and reggie and Veronica, but Archie deceided to sit this one out he couldn't bear to go knowing he hurt Veronica and seeing Betty with Jughead would hurt too because he wishes it was him he was dancing with.
Archie Pov
My mom knocks on my door and I let her in. "Archie what are you still doing here prom started an hour ago? "I can't go mom, I told Veronica what happened between me and Betty and I- "oh Archie, how did she take it? "Not good, I just think it would be better if we kept our distance until graduation" "what about Betty? Betty her name made me smile " she doesn't know but Veronica will probably tell her" "Is there anything I can do before I go to the office? "No mom you should go you don't wanna be late" she gave me a hug then went for the door.
Readers POV
A man wearing all black on the phone was talking to Hiram Lodge and said "He's all alone at the house sir, what do you want me to do? "Go to the Betty Coopers room, sneak into the back"
Archie POV
I started playing my guitar and singing carry the torch this song was all I could think about and Betty, she makes me want to stronger and better but Veronica I feel like she, my phone rang and I answered "hello" "Archibald, how are you keeping?
"Mr lodge I, look I'm not even gonna try deny it but you probably heard about me and Veronica..... "yes Archie I did and do you know how twisted it is to cheat on someone with their best friend, she was gonna do everything for you Archie "I know sir and I'm sorry but, I never asked her to do any of those things for me! Tense music plays "oh Archie you shouldn't have said such things, I want you to look out your window" "wat at bettys room? "Yes" I did what he said and saw a man wearing all black in her room with a knife in his hand "mr lodge what is this? My heart started beating thinking about what could be done to Betty, I wanted to make sure she's safe so I texted her quickly asking where is she. "Archie the guy that is in Betty's room will wait for her to come and cause something or he can simply go away, under one condition" "you would really do that mr Lodge, to veronicas best friend! " Oh relax Archie he would only threaten her he would never lay a finger on her under my command " what's the condition then Hiram?
