The day the truth came out

Archie POV; It was prom day at riverdale, people we're getting everything ready for the big day, Ronnie wanted it to be perfect, Jughead was dreading it, mom was excited to take pictures and I was my dad was here, the thought of my dad made me want to start crying so I stood up to get tissue in the bathroom when I stopped dead in my tracks and looked at the room across me, the girl next door, Betty Cooper, my best friend. I started to get a flashback of me and Betty practicing at the garage when we shared the kiss, the image made smile. I felt guilty I shouldn't be thinking about Betty I mean it was just a kiss like she said she's with Jughead and I'm with Veronica and today is prom. "Archie" my mom called. "Yes mom sorry I was just...." "looking at betty's room" my mom asked with a raised eyebrow" I couldn't even find a way out of this one she just knew... "look Archie ever since the musical I have noticed something off about you and Veronica, I mean I thought you guys were on the right track, with that song you wrote her.." I stopped her before she could finish "the song was for Betty mom" "oh Archie what about Veronica" "mom I gotta tell you something, the reason I deceided to go to the naval academy was because Betty rejected me.... she kept mentioning her and Jughead and me and Veronica and I...." "Archie listen to me, you are an amazing guy and I'm sorry that Betty turned you down but running away is not the answer and you need to tell Veronica about this ok? "Ok mom I will tonight.....
Mrs Andrews starts making her way to the door but turns around and tells her son "oh and Archie" "yes mom" "after you tell Veronica,  make sure you fight for Betty, let her know how much you care" mrs Andrews smiles and closes the door.
Veronica POV
The doorbell rings and as I'm getting dressed daddy answers it. "Mija Archie is here" "I'll be down in 5!
I make my way down and hug Archie so tight, she I kiss him I don't feel the passion anymore it was weird. "So archikens what brings you to my home, not that I mind" "I really need to talk to you Ronnie" he had that worried look on his face which made me nervous. "Daddy do you mind giving us some privacy? "Sure I'll be in the study if you need me". "So what's on your mind? "Ronnie When I tell you this I want you to know I'm sorry and that our relationship was real. "What do you mean was real? "Ronnie, we need to break up....  "excuse me what, pardon moi Archie!! "I kissed Betty! Archie screamed which Hiram probably heard. I didn't know what else to say so I just walked off "Ronnie wait please" "no Archie just leave me alone, can we discuss this later, I need you to go "Ronnie" "GOOO!
That's when he walked to the door and left. I started crying in my room then my dad walked in. "Daddy sorry did you need anything" I asked while wiping the tears from my face. "I heard everything mija, I just wanted to know if your okay? " I'll survive" "what about prom, you were so excited" " I'll just go with reggie" "ah reginald, ok let me make you some tea, I'll be back in 10mins". "Thanks daddy" when he left for the tea I could tell he was up to something and to be honest I didn't care if it was to do with Archie.
Reader POV:Hiram knew he had to protect his daughter , he wanted to heal her pain and he knew what needed to be done.....
