Brrrrrringggg
You slapped you phone, knocking it off your table. It was the first day of school for all first years at Karasuno high. You had moved as far away from you family and past school to you Auntie and Uncle's house after a huge incident.
It was your last year of middle school, you and your team were competing in the finals of the nationals (I'm not certain how it works 👩🦲) Your team were in the lead. The opposing team were getting ready to spike. You had already read the block. As you raced across the court and jump you felt a sharp pain in your back. You managed to block the spike only to fall to the floor after. Your coach rushed over to your side. He brought you over to the sidelines, putting in a replacement. You saw a man and woman rush over, carrying you to the infirmary you were given a bed as the nurse tried to help, you told her that you were fine. You didn't want to disappoint your parents who took time off work to come watch. As you get up to leave you send a gentle smile to the nurse and walked back to your coach, stumbling along the way. You tried convince him you were fine. He sent you back onto court, you carried your team to victory.
After the game you went to find your parents. When you saw them they had a disappointed look on their faces. You walk up and tap on your mom shoulder only to see her look over to you with rage filling her eyes. You went to open your mouth when you were met with your mother's hand. She grabbed your hand and dragged you outside and out of sight. She repeatedly started hitting you. You now remembered why you never invited her to your games, she hit you if she didn't like something. She started shouting about you coming off court. You tried explain why but she wouldn't take it. Eventually she got tired and left you alone. You had marks all over you. You threw on your jacket and a pair of black tracksuit bottoms. You took your h/c hair out of the high ponytail (if it's shorter it's clipped out if your face) so it was covering your face. You rushed through the building trying to leave without much attention.
You managed to get outside. The public bus wasn't leaving yet so you can to a quiet park and sat behind a tree. You cried out, you didn't know if there was anything you could do about this happening. It felt hopeless. The following day at school you felt all eyes on you and people whispering. You thought they were worried about your injury. It turns out someone saw and recorded the whole thing between you and your mom. For the last couple of weeks of school you were bullied and made fun of. You had become suicidal and hated yourself, you even it to the point of self harm. Knowing that you couldn't trust your parents you called your Auntie. She had helped you through this all, she even contacted police and got you taken away from your parents. She lived super far away from your middle school, she had gotten you to move with her to Miyagi. Your Auntie had a teacher come to your house sometimes to help you out. You had already known Takeda-sensei for awhile. He was the one that reassured you that everything would be fine at your new school.
The only thing you were hoping for this year was that no one knew about the video.
You climbed up out of bed and did your usual morning routine. You had the karasuno uniform on already. You fixed your hair until you were happy and stepped back to look at yourself in the mirror. You had you hair styled nicely, a black skirt too short for your liking, dark gray socks up to your thighs, a white blouse with a red ribbon wrapped into a neat bow and a light beige jumper (idk what you call it)over top. You were 178 cm (5'10) which was extremely tall for girls your age.(my actual height only I'm still 13)
You grabbed your bag and walked to the kitchen. You found a note left from your Auntie, it read 'sorry I couldn't send you off dear, please take the bento in the fridge and I have pancakes made for you' you smiled at the note. You Auntie was super sweet and caring. You finished your breakfast, put the bento in you bag and left early. You had already built up a nervous sweat. After the last year you had stayed in your room not wanting to be seen and now that you had to join a high school you had to meet so many people. You Auntie had informed the school on what had happened before.
You walked in the front gate. A few people seemed to whisper but only about how amazing you were at volleyball. Did I mention you were captain and ace of your middle school team 😏. As you made your way to your homeroom, Class 1-4. You sat back in the last row, right at the window. You put on your headphones and connected them to your phone seeing as you were early. You leaned on your arm and stared out the window. You watched as students reunited with old friends. You sighed before turning back away from the window.
You noticed a certain string bean sitting next to you. He had a Green haired boy talking to him. The green haired boy noticed you and introduced himself. "Hey there! I'm Yamaguchi Tadashi (I probably spelt it wrong 😶) and this is Tsukishima Kei." He gave you a small smile. He looked kind so you introduced yourself to him. "Oh hi, my name's L/N F/n," you give him a small smile before turning back around in your seat.
Yamaguchi seems super nice. Takeda sensei was right.
