The only thing that you hated about being close with Tsukishima Kei is his 'fangirls'. Yeah he isn't no Oikawa Toruu but he is an amazing guy, he was gifted with volleyball talent, looks and smarts. It's obvious why he has them but he doesn't like how they don't give his friends a break. That was a huge issue for you.

You've ran into quite a few Tsukishima fangirls, mostly too scared to do something to you. Except for one group of 7. Don't get me wrong you could hold your ground, fight back but when those 7 came into the picture you were screwed. Lemme just go back a couple of hours.

You had just finished school, after you got a raise at work you were working twice as hard. (At a cafe you've been working at for a whole year, it belonged to your cousin.) You were walking down a quiet street. You had your headphones on with loud music playing so you couldn't hear anyone coming. You heared shouting so you pulled your headphones down to your neck and turned around.

"Oi L/N-san right."

"Yeah, do I know yo-"

"Back off Tsukishima, whore"

You burst out laughing. So many people approached you accusing you of this bs.

"No I don't think I will. He isn't a thing you can claim as yours, he's an amazing guy who deserves the world."

"He wouldn't like a fat hoe like you so let us have a chance."

"You can still talk away to him I'm not stopping you, but why can't you just leave me and Tsukki alone. You can't control who him and I hang around with. You only like him because of his looks or maybe his high grades but you don't know him as a person so why don't you all back off huh?"

"Alright you asked for trouble"

"I didn't ask for anything except you to leave us alone now may you kindly move out of the way I've got work to get to" You stepped around the 'queen' of the group.

"Ugh you're such a bitch" A girl said launching herself at you, as you went to fight back you were pulled to the ground by three other girls.

"Get off me" you growled. The girls didn't listen. They beat you up until your whole body was covered in bruises and ached.

As they left you lying there you heard someone call you name. You open your eyes to see Aoi, a close friend from work. She lifted you and brought you to the cafe.

"I knew something must've happened, this is the first time you've been late like ever." she grunted pulling you down onto the bench. "Tell me what happened Y/N. I'll treat your wounds."

As you explained what happened she was shocked. "Why are you still friends with him if he's putting you in danger?"

"It's not his fault and I care about him, he's been so amazing to me. I can't let a group of bitches between us."

"Does my best friend here have a crush then?" Aoi said winking at you. You rolled your eyes and sat up.

"Please Aoi you know that's not how it is-" You said being cut off by the door opening. It was your cousin, apparently Tsukishima stopped by and asked for you. You went to get up when you were stopped by Aoi. She threw a jacket over you covering your arms and some loose tracksuit bottoms covering you legs. You only had a small bruise under your eye.

You walked out to the kitchen, you picked up Tsukishima's tray with his strawberry shortcake (Y'all am I the only one who had an UNHEALTHY OBSESSION with that cartoon or-) You brought it to him, your head lowered.

"Hey Tsukki how was practice. Sorry again for skipping today!" you said keeping your usual energy. He pointed at you and then the seat infront of hi, gesturing you to sit there. As you sat he started the conversation while looking out the window.

"Oh Y/N did you hear about training cam- what happened your eye" He took his hand and placed it on the bruise softly.

"Oh yeah I tripped on my way here to work, I was running late so I started sprinting and tripped" you said laughing while rubbing the nape of your neck.

"Hmm" is all that came out of his mouth, "Well sorry to go so early Tsukki but I've got to go back to work before my cousin gets angry, sorry! talk to you tomorrow" you got up and started rushing to the back. You knew he was doubting what you said.

You spent the rest of the night explaining to your cousin and Auntie that you were perfectly fine, you even had to lie and say that they apologised and you were going to be friends with them. The bought is fortunately although Tsukishima knew you lied to keep him from worrying.

The next day at school you wore even longer socks covering all of your bruises and foundation all over your arms. As long as you got through the next couple of days.

At school you came in before Tsukki and Yamaguchi. You had pins in your shoes and lots of harsh words on your desk. You sighed and got to work, cleaning as much of the writing as you could off your desk. You had almost half of it off when you heard Tsukishima's voice "Morning Y/N does your eye feel any better." you spun around blocking your desk. "Oh yeah it is thank you."

"Y/N what's that" He said glancing to your side, "Y/N who did this, please tell me" his eyes were filled with worry as he stared into yours.

"Oh it's fine trust me," you said stepping around Tsukishima. "I need to get some fresh air on the roof I'll be back"

Tsukishima sighed, cleaning the rest of your desk, when you didn't come back Tsukki started to worry. He went up to the roof to find you.

You were in the corner, sitting reapplying the foundation to your arms when you saw Tsukki. You put the foundation to your side and glanced back at him. He started coming up to you. "Y/N please tell me what's happening I don't want anything to happen to you."

He was so worried, he came to your side. "Tsukki please don't panic, I'll be fine ok" You said clasping your hands over his. You don't know why but when he said he didn't want anything to happen to you, well it made your heart skip a beat 'Am I catching feeling for Tsukishima Kei'
