"Maybe it's a good thing? His death I mean"
"How so?"
"I wouldn't have met you if he was alive"

"Alright, I got this" I said to myself as I walked on the train. I'm very nervous, I mean, can you blame me? I'm going to solve a potential murder on my own!
When I got on the train I opened my laptop immediately to start my research. I was sitting on a single seat in the back so no one could see what I was doing.
First I'll check into my hotel and then I'll talk a little to the victim's best friend. He's staying at the same hotel as me because who would want to sleep in the house their best friend died in? I won't push him off course. He must be in so much pain right now.
If I can't get anything out of him, I'll ask if he knows anyone that might know anything.

When I walked into the hotel I saw a beautiful woman sitting at the resection desk.
"Hello dear, what can I help you with?" She spoke in a soft voice. She had a beautiful accent, probably French. She sounded like the sweetest woman ever and I knew I would take a liking to her.
"Oh yeah, my name is f/n l/n I'm pretty sure I've booked a room" I said as I showed her my ID.
"Oh, so you're miss detective. Yes, we do have a room for you. Stay here as long as you need. Oh, and don't worry about the price, it's covered by the police" The lady smiled as she typed on her computer. I noticed her painted fingernails when she handed me the keys. "My name is Claire don't be shy ask if I need anything" Claire truly had a contagious smile.
Walked over to the elevator and pressed the button. The elevator was on floor 3, my floor. While I was waiting for it go gown down a man my age came and stood next to me.
"Hello, miss" I turned and looked at him as he spoke in a strong and confident voice. He had a muscular body and brown short hair. He seemed nice enough so I decided to start a conversation.
"Hello, if you don't mind me asking, what brings you here?" I asked as we both watched the numbers on the elevator go down.
"I'm here for a friend's funeral" I've always been thought to be polite when talking to strangers, but he made me lose up a little bit.
"Oh, I'm really sorry. I can't imagine how that must be like" my head dropped since I knew exactly who he was talking about.
"Let's not let sadness overtake us now. Why are you here?" despite his friend's passing he had a happy and calm tone.
"I'm just visiting a friend" I lied. There was no need to tell more than necessary the truth. Since he is the victim's friend I might have to ask him a few questions.
We carried on the conversation as the elevator door finally opened. We stepped aside to let a man out before stepping on, but something seemed off. He turned around and stared at us every second till the doors closed, separating us. He was had his hood up so I couldn't get a look on his face, but I decided to pay attention to the man beside me.
"This is my stop" the brunette talked as he stepped outside the elevator, "my name is Sawamura Daichi. I'm staying in room 1046, come visit me sometime" I might actually do.
