Today's the day I'll get one step further to solving this mystery. I've looked at the murder case so many times that I'm certain this was a murder.

But one can't focus on an empty stomach.

I walked to the elevator and pressed the button to the first floor, and waited patiently for it to go down, but as soon as the doors began to close a boy came running and stuck his arm in between the doors. The doors opened again and the boy walked in. I could feel him staring at me, but I decided to not look back.

Who is this strange boy?

I walked out of the elevator while the boy continued down to the basement. I walked over to Claire to ask for help. She was caught up in work and didn't notice me. She was wearing a different hijab than yesterday but still had a heartwarming smile.

"Excuse me?" I caught her attention and she stopped typing on her computer.

"Sorry Y/n, I was too caught up in my studies so I didn't notice you. You see, I really wanna be a doctor, but I don't have to money to pay my loan so I'm working here at the moment" she talked freely, "but what brings you here?"

"Where is the dining hall?" I asked the woman in front of me.

"If you look right behind you, you'll see a big brown door" Claire continued to smile. It was like her smile took all my worries away. I turned around and there it was a big, brown door.

"Thanks!" I said as I walked towards the door. The door was heavy, but when it opened a big dining hall with many small tables. The smell of newly baked bread and coffee hit my face and I felt myself getting even hungrier.

I grabbed what ever breakfast I wanted and looked around to find a place to sit. My eyes landed on a familiar face. He was completely caught up in a book.

"Hello, Daichi" I sat down as I caught his attention.

"Good morning" he closed the book and looked me in the eyes, "I never got your name when I think about it" he was right. I forgot to tell him.

"It's Y/n" I said short, waiting for him to carry the conversation.

"Have you noticed the suspicious guy around here?" He leaned closer to me and whispered, making sure  no one could hear him, "the one with the hood"

I knew exactly who he was talking about and thought out my reply carefully, "yes I have. I don't think there's anything suspiciousa about him. Maybe he's just antisocial"

"Maybe so, but I cant help my gut when I'm around him" Daichi stood up and grabbed his dishes.

"Where are you going?" I looked up at the brown haired boy.

"I'm going back to my room" He turned around and walked out of the dining hall.

"Fair enough" I said to myself, but I couldn't stop thinking about what he said.

"What gut feeling?"

♡♡♡

After I finished my breakfast I walked out of the dining hall and right to the elevator. I pressed the elevator button to floor 4 and hummed my favorite song as the old elevator slowly went up.

The doors opened and I walked slowly to room 4039. The sound of my footsteps echoed in the hall as I took slow, but confident steps.

"Hello I'm detective F/n L/n and I'm here to talk about the death of Tetsuro Kuroo" I half-yelled as I knocked in the door. It only took about half a minute before someone opened the door.

"Hello?" A boy in a hoodie answered. It was him. The weird guy that gave everyone the creeps. "Oh, it's you. Come in"

He opened the door fully and stepped aside for me to get in. He closed the door and I took off my shoes.

"Do you want some tea?" Kozume asked while putting two cups on the counter.

"No thanks I'm good" when I said that he sighed in disappointment and put one of the cups back.

"Your loss then. I make the best tea" it seemed like he wanted to make a conversation, but he was awfully bad at it. I found my papers while I was waiting for him to sit down.

"I want to see your face when we do this interview so if you could take off your hood it would be amazing" I asked when he sat down. The boy on the opposite side sighed, but did as told. His face was totally different then I imagined it to be. It was a soft, but lifeless face. He had dark circles from lack of sleep.

"So let's start, shall we?" I smiled trying ease the tense conversation, "how close were you to Kuroo?"

"He was my childhood best friend" Kozume's answers were short, but I can't blame him. The fact that he's going trough with the interview was already enough after what he was going trough.

"Let's discuss how the murder went down" this was the hardest part, but the part I was most excited for too.

"Accident"

"Well, let me explain-"

"THE STUPID FUCKER CHOCKED ON WATER! I FOUND HIM DEAD IN MY HOUSE!" Kozume slammed his hands into the desk and stood up, "sorry"

"It's alright now let me explain" I straightened up my back, "when you chocke on water what is your natural reaction?"

"Put the glass down and look for help?" Kozume answered.

"Yes and Kuroo was found laying down with thr glass still in his hand" I almost started smiling when I explained. I totally forgot that I was talking to the victim's best friend. "This was most likely a murder"

Kozume was frozen. He just sat there with his head down, staring at the table. I decided to give him time and walked back to my room.

♡♡♡

I had trouble sleeping that night, but I woke up at 6 am. I wore a pretty outfit I choose the night before.

I walked happily down the hall and to the elevator. I rode it to the first floor and headed to room 1046, Daichi's room.

I knocked on the door, but no response. I knocked again and no response again. I saw a hotel worker jogging down the hall.

"You're here to visit Mr. Sawamura?" He asked.

"Yes, but he's not answering" I answered the short hotel worker.

"His hotel telephone has been on the line so we're allowed to go inside and fix it, but since you're already here to visit, you can do it" he smiled and handed me the keys before walking down the hall again.

I prepared myself for the sight of Daichi sleeping and tried to fit the keys in the keyhole. The worker was long gone by now and I took a deep breath and walked in.

I thought my biggest worry was waking Daichi up. Not this.
