Summer Love

Chapter 2

Josh's POV:
Okay I'm officially super excited for this summer. Not just because I love summer, but Chloe is staying with us for the first couple days! No one really knows but I kind of have a crush on her. I have had a crush on her roughly since the 3rd grade. My thoughts are wrecked by the sight of Chloe exiting the car to her house. She's so beautiful. I think again. "Bye Chloe cya in a few!" I yell out. She turns around with that beautiful smile of hers and walks into her house. "So josh, do you like anyone?" Paige asks me. "Uhhh what makes you think that?" I stutter. "Well you kind of been really clingy to Chlo lately." She says. "No I haven't!" I snap back at her. "Okay okay calm down." She says after looking away. We arrive at my house and I dart up to my room. I grab my Hollister swim trunks and I take my shirt off. I run downstairs and grab my sunglasses that I rarely use. I set up 4 pool chairs, one for me, Chloe, Paige, and Brooke. I lay down on the chair and wait for the girls to come.

Chloe's POV:
The car ride home was silent. Mrs. Hyland dropped me off at my house. I waved goodbye and said thank you. I reached my doorsteps until I heard josh yell "Bye Chloe cya in a few!" I was kinda startled but I just looked back and smiled. "Hey mom I'm home!" I yell. "Hey Chlo! I'm up in Clara's room." I set my backpack on the hardwood floor and dash up the steps. "Play wif me!" My 3 year old sister asks. I couldn't resist so I bent down and started playing with her. "Awh! You girls are so cute. I'm going downstairs to make dinner." My mom states. "Wait mom I forgot I have to get ready I'm going over to the hylands to go swimming and then I'm staying over night because we are going to the beach." I quickly say while leaving my sister stranded as I head off to my room. I grab my white strapless Abercrombie swimsuit and my Victoria's Secret PINK towel and I also grab a pair of sunglasses that I usually don't wear. I tie my hair into a messy bun and then grab my flip flops. "I'll be back later to pack my bag for Paige's later! Bye mom!" I say. "I'll just pack it for you and run it over when I'm done with dinner." She says. I walk into the garage and grab my bike. The hylands live 4 houses down its a short ride. I park my bike in the front yard. Out of the corner of my eye I see Josh sitting on a beach chair in the sun. He doesn't see me. I creep up to his chair. In my mind I count "1,2,3" it's silent. "Chlo I know you're there." Josh looks up to me and giggles. "Ugh Hyland, I don't think I will ever scare you." He grabs my hand and sets me down on his chair with him. It's really awkward at first. He just stares at me. I was about to walk away until he says "Unlike me, you are really easy to get."
"What do you mean?" I say smiling. He picks me up bridal style. Ugh I just love the feeling of his hands around my waist. "W-what are you doing?" I start laughing. He then quickly jumps in the cold pool with me in his arms. "HYLAND!" I scream at him sarcastically. "I told you, you are easy to get." We both go under the water at the same time. Our eyes meet. Our bodies are inches away. We get closer and closer by the flow of the water. His arms wrap around my waist and his lips engage onto mine. We hold that wonderful position for almost 10 seconds. We both realize we need air. We swim up to the surface and examine each other. "I love you Chloe Elisabeth Lukasiak." He says and then kisses my cheek.
