February 2nd,
Rileys pov

I got up this morning like i did ever other morning and something felt... Off. I went to my bathroom and looked into the mirror. My eyes were blood shot. I grabbed my hair brush to brush my hair and i noticed that some of it was coming out.

"DAD!!!" i screamed cause my dad to run into the bathroom.

"Riley whats wrong!!" He said very alarmed

"Is hair supposed to do this." I said showing him my hair brush.

"Riley get in the car right now im taking you to the hospital."

"What??? Why??? Dad whats wrong with me." I said very scared

1 hour later

"Just what i thought." The doctor said. "Cancer."

"Wh-what!?" I said feeling a tear fall from my eye.

"Is he gonna die?" My dad said not really as a question.

"I dont know for sure well have to run more tests but most likely yes, he will probably die."

I felt my heart sink into my chest. Omg what am i gonna tell everyone at school. What am i gonna tell Leah.

Wait... I know.

February 3rd,
Leahs POV

OMGOMGOMG WHERE DID IT GO!!!! What if Ariana has it, shes gonna read it to the entire school. Ughhhhh. What if riley finds it.

Well for now since i cant find it i might as well get another one for the time being. Ugh i have to be to school in 15 mins.

I grabbed my flannel and put on some light makeup before leaving the house. Riley and his dad were waiting for me in the car like normal.

Oh riley got his hair cut off. Dang i wish he told me. It looks good on him tho.

"Morning!" I said as a cheerfully got into the car.

"Good morning Leah." Riley said in a formal tone.

"Someones being very formal today." I said laughing a bit.

"Oh you know me, always trying something new."

Ugh i really wish i had my diary it would make hiding my feelings from riley a whole lot easier.

When we got to school me and riley said goodbye to his dad and walked into the school. I said bye to riley and went to my locker to get my math book. Ill have to fill riley in on what happened in math yesterday cause he wasnt here.

Damn i forgot to ask him about that. Ehh ill just ask in 1st.

Rileys POV

Wow im very surprised she hasnt 1 asked why i wasnt here yesterday and 2 asked if i knew where her diary was. Ok so this is about to sound like a dick move but i took her diary. But i needed it tho.

I went to 1st and sat in my usual seat beside Leah.

"Hey riley i have a question." She said as i sat down.

Shit here we go, now riley tell her why you werent here yesterday. Oh ya because i was at the hospital being diagnosed with cancer.

"Where were you yesterday?"

"Oh i threw up and my dad thought it would be best for me to stay home. "

"Oh, are you okay now?"

"Yep."

Okay, she knows im lying.

After school

After school i went home. Ugh Ima feel like a dick for this later. I grabbed her diary from my desk drawer and opened it. Leahs handwriting filled the pages. I read the first page. Wow surprisingly this only goes back to the 1st day of high school.
