First Meeting

Wake up. Wake up y/n!

I slowly opened my eyes. I squinted my eyes, trying to get used to my surrounding. The bright sun shone right in my eyes. I tried to lift my hand to cover my face.

"Clank!"

Huh? Why are my hands tied? I looked around. I was in the middle of a room. A tall man stood in front of me. I gasped.

Where- where am I?

All around me were people. My eyes widened as I recognized the handsome man who saved me yesterday in the rain. There was a boy with green eyes and a middle part frowning at me. Next to him was a beautiful girl, with a red scarf. She was glaring at a petit blonde boy with big blue eyes who seemed innocent compared to the rest of them.

"Wh-where am I?" I managed to say. My voice didn't sound like mine at all.

"You're in Wall Rose." The man in front of me said. Suddenly I realized I was tied up. My heartbeat raced.

"Why am I t-tied?" I asked more confidently. The man smiled at me.

"No need to worry." He said. "We're just trying to get to know you."

'So you tie me up?' I thought

"Sir- if you don't mind, could we start?" The handsome man said.

'Did he say he was a commander?' I thought. I closed my eyes, trying to remember when the man's voice blocked my thought.

"Y/n! How long have you lived outside the walls?"

I shook my head, confused.

"Walls? What walls-"

"Well, the walls protecting us fromm the Titans! What else?"

I giggled. Everyone in the room looked at me, confused.

"S-sorry, sir. I've never lived inside walls before. Neither have I needed protections from the Titans."

Some of the people in the room gasped.

"Never lived in walls?" I could hear someone say. "No protection? How is she alive?" I frowned. What do they mean by that?

The man smacked his hammer, making the whole room turn quiet. The girl with the red scarf looked at me and smiled. It made me feel better.

"Captain Levi here told me you could sing?"

Levi. So that was his name.

"Ah- yes, sir. I can sing."

"And is this 'normal' singing?"

"Er- no, sir. I mean yes t's singing but, i can make one rest peacfully when I do."

"So I heared." I could hear some men laughing in the back. The boy with the middle part shot them a tense glare.

"We're going to test this theory." The judge said. "Bring in the criminal."

A man walked into the room, with two guards surrounding him. He looked tense and scared.

"This man is on death penalty. Today is his lucky day." The judge said. "Before we execute him, we'd like it you could sing for him." He explained. I nodded.

"Any last words?" The judge said.

"P-please! Please spare me!" The man cried. "The judge looked at me and nodded. I cleared my throat. The criminal in front of me sobbed. I started to sing, but my voice cracked. I cringed- and everyone in the room erupted in mocking laughter. I frantically looked around. The girl with the red scarf quickly came over with a glass of water. I smiled and thanked her. Before she left, she squeezed my shoulder. "You can do this," she whispered.

"No way she can do this!" I heard someone say.

I clenched my jaw. No one heard the judge telling everyone to stay quiet. Slowly, I opened my mouth and started to sing. This time, I wasn't nervous or scared. At first, everyone kept laughing and joking. One by one, they heard an enchanting voice that made them stop and listen. The criminal stopped crying and looked at me, surprised. I smiled at him and closed my eyes, melting away in my voice. I took the man's fear and turned it into peace. At the end of the song, I slowly opened my eyes. Everyone in the court was quiet. Some of the people were crying, and others were staring at me with a shocked expression. I looked at Levi. His eyes were wide but not with surprise. His eyes were wide with wonder. I could see a small smile forming on his lips. I suddenly remembered the criminal and looked towards him.

He was already dead, but as I looked at his face, he wasn't crying. Instead, he wore a peaceful smile.
