Ella pov
i crossed my arms up to my chest looking out the window down at the view, the city was so beautiful and the view from up here was even better, i narrowed my eyes as a car pulled up
James, I kept looking outside watching his every move, he came out his car tilting as he walked, he went to the other side helping out his friend
the guards ran up to them helping them out, both boys were drunk, i took a sip of my glass of wine as I saw the way they made their way inside the house, I put my glass down exiting my room and making my way downstairs
the clicking noises of me high heels were a little loud, I looked at James and Josh from the stairs, James looked up at me
"where were you?" I asked taking the other steps
"i went for a drink at the club, nothing much" James answered, I rolled my eyes looking over at the guards
"did you guys know about this?" I asked all the guards who stood by the front door and nodded "i give the orders here, so if he doesn't obey you guys, come up to me and I'll handle it" I said looking back at James
"mom, relax" James said as I narrowed my eyes
"there was a shooting in there, you could've died" I almost yelled at him, I shook my head helping him take Josh to the couch
"but I didn't, the guy in there basically saved us" James answered, I shot my head up
"what guy?" I asked
"some random guy, he was tall, he had a fancy suit and some short guy with him" James explained as I nodded
"did you catch his name" I asked giving him pills
"no not really" James said taking the pills and swallowing it down with a glass of water I gave him
"alright, you and Josh should rest" I said looking over at Josh who was already sleeping in the couch, James nodded throwing himself to the other couch
i turned around hearing footsteps coming downstairs, violet frowned looking at the two boys who were now both asleep on the couch
"they got drunk" I explained to her as she nodded, "you hungry" I asked her, violet looked up at me and smiled
"no" she answered, I widen my eyes running up to her and hugging her tight
"you finally talked again" I said in happiness
"took me time but yeah, I missed talking to you guys" violet said with a weak smile
"im just glad to hear your voice again" I said fixing her hoodie and dusting her shoulder "tomorrow we should go on a girls day, get our nails done, or a family day" i said as violet smiled disappeared looking down and nodded
i narrowed my eyes
"what's wrong?" I asked
"a family of three" she said, my heart dropped, she's still on this, i wish I was able to tell her the truth
"violet, it isn't your dads fault" I said as violet nodded slowly
"your right, your right, ima go to sleep now" violet said walking away and going upstairs to her room
i sigh walking up to the guards
"i don't want him near them" i said looking straight at the guards as they nodded
"he cares a lot about them tho" the guard answered as i threw my gun at him, this is something I don't like hearing
"if he did, he wouldn't leave them for his stupid mafia" i yelled at them, i looked back down realizing my son was right in the living room
"he's dead to them"
Mattia pov
"did he make it home safe" I asked my soldier, he nodded handing me my water
"he did sir" the soldier answered as i sip my water looking up at the performance, Ashley was doing her vocal singing "she's a good singer isn't she" the soldier said
I bit the inside of my checks nodding
"because she's your daughter?" I asked looking over at my soldier who eyes widen looking around the room in case someone heard
"sir, you aren't allowed to say that around here" the soldier said as i shrugged
"but am I wrong? you'll do anything for your daughter, right?" I said as the soldier nodded
"just like you'll do anything for yours" the soldier said as i glair at him, what is he trying to say?
"don't say something you'll regret" i said looking back at the performance
"like my daughter is worth more than yours" the soldier said with a smirk, I looked over at him with angry eyes, I got up slapping him across the face
"watch your mouth, my daughter doesn't even compare to yours, so your one to talk" I said shoveling pass him and getting out of there
i sigh looking around
"and just like that you'll regret what you started" I heard Kairi say from behind me
I turned around rolling my eyes
"if ima be honest, I wanted him dead from the start, and now what he said, I want him dead for sure" i said as Kairi shook his head walking up to me
"that guy is as crazy as you, you'll both do whatever it takes to protect your kids, the only thing is that you got the wrong ones" Kairi said as looked at him
"your mocking me?" I said as Kairi laughed shaking his head
"I'm just saying Mattia, what will life be if you never left your kids, will your daughter ever try to commit what she did?" Kairi said looking down avoiding eye contact with me
I shot my head up looking at him, like I was looking for his soul
"what are you talking about?" I asked Kairi
"violet did what she did because of you, because she didn't grow up with a dad, because her dad left her" Kairi said as i widen my eyes shaking my head
