Chapter 21: Mixed Relay Race

Third Person's POV

Everyone woke up as bright and early as 10:00am.

Wait.

"10 OCLOCK?!?!?!" Jungkook shouted loud enough for somehow everyone to hear, and with the sound of that shout everyone quickly rushed themselves awake and refreshed.

After what seemed almost an hour later, they all made their way to the track field across the road from their stay, where they met Namjoon, Suho, Jackson and Jihyo wide awake, sitting on chairs staring at their imaginary watch.

"Aaaaaaand dammit they were 1 minute off!"

"YES! Can't wait for that dinner Namjoon!"

"I can't believe you's two made a bet on when they'd arrive"

Jihyo now looks more disappointed cause two of the three guys she's meant to be in charge with are now being childish. She turns to everyone.

"You's are late by 43 minutes now, but we won't go off topic anyways behind us three is a 400m relay circuit track, where using the teams we made, you's will be doing a 4x100m relay race. The winners prize shall be announce after the race."

Jackson tries to wave out the paper with the teams on it but not everyone can see, so he hands it to Namjoon.

"Not my fault genetics gave god looks but not god height :/"And with that everyone couldn't help but burst into laughter.

"Here are the teams so go in them together and practise your transitions and your running order." Said Namjoon.

Team 1: Jungkook, Jennie, Baekhyun, Chaeyoung

Team 2: Jimin, Lisa, Rose, Chanyeol

Team 3: Tae, Tzuyu, Chen, Jisoo

Team 4: J-Hope, Nayeon, Kai, Sehun

They all gather in together, and the oldies chose so they can make the teams even, to stand out and watch.

"This is going to be epic!" Jihyo exclaims as the teams are going in order, everyone agreed to go female then male then again female then male. Just to make things fair.

Namjoon has the starting gun, as everyone's first runners prepare themselves. The starts in order of lane is Kai, Chaeyoung, Rosè and Jisoo. Kais team is the only team that has one female, so they start in lane one.

"GET READY!!"

"3!!"

"2!!"

"1!!"

BOOM!

The gun fires and everyone starts running fast, and the cheering begins. Rosè takes the early lead and Kai has caught up to Jisoo and Chaeyoung and is hunting for Rosè. Rosè gets to the end of the corner as Kai has caught up to her and Jisoo and Chaeyoung are completing for third, both are surprisingly fast. Kai and Rosè have both reached the second runners Chantelle and Sehun who have a head start to next runners for the other two, Baekhyun and Chen. Although those two are further behind they close that gap very quickly and have become equal with Chanyeol and Sehun and the Exo brothers are having a very close battle.

Meanwhile Tae anxiously awaits as if he wants to really win, he needs a good head start ahead of Jungkooks runner before him, Jennie. Jungkook however, with things on his mind, is finding it hard to focus. He knows Tae is wanting Tzuyu to give him a head start, he should know he will because of Tzuyu.

Flashback

Jungkook and the boys are heading to the field to chill and watch the athletics happen, while Jungkook focuses on one thing. The beautiful angel that's at the starting line of a SPRINT RACE??!
