"lou, come on," zayn said, attempting to pull the bedsheets off his best friend.

"go away." he heard from under the duvet.

"seriously, louis. it's time to get up. let's go out."

"zayn, i'm really not in the mood at the moment," louis said, his voice muffled.

"honestly mate, i really think you should go out tonight," zayn replied. "it's been too long."

louis stayed quiet.

"fine." zayn sighed. "i'll be back later."

as soon as zayn lefter, louis broke down into tears once again. his chest hurt, his thoat hurt, his head hurt, all from crying so much.

louis burrowed himself even deeper into the duvet and groaned. he felt weak. surely, other people weren't as torn up over a breakup as louis was. although, louisandharry weren't like other couples. they were the ones that people looked at and wished to have a relationship like theirs. they were the ones that at high school reunions, people came up and said: "i knew you two would last."

they were the ones everyone thought would be together forever. for eternity. until the end of time.

seems like they were wrong.
