???: "Speech"
*Thoughts*

The Pacific ocean. Stretching for hundreds of kilometers in all directions, it is the single largest water mass in the world. Many storms brew over these waters, and just as many calm spots. What do these 2 conditions have in common? Waves. And these waves occupy these hundreds of kilometers, until they hit the beaches of an island or continent.
This island is no different. Surrounded on all sides by the salty ocean, it's golden beaches glimmer in the sunlight.
But a certain part of this shore is different...
A part of it has turned to glass, as if a small meteorite had slammed into the beach, creating a crater, upsetting the peaceful color palette.
And as for the cause of this crater?
An unconscious girl can be seen lying on her back in the middle of it. Small and calm puffs of air come in and out of her nose with every breath she takes.
Under the glaring sunlight, she begins to stir awake.
[???'s POV]:
Beginning to stir awake, several questions fill my mind.
Where am I? What am I? What, you egg? Never gonna find out by lying around I guess.
I open my eyes...
Big mistake. The sunlight slams into my retinas, temporarily blinding me. A girlish shriek comes out of my mouth:
???: "AAAAAAAAH! MY EYES!"
I immediately close them shut, and roll over onto my shoulder before opening them again. Much better. I look around.
Seeing glass in front of me, I get a bit confused. Standing up, I assess my situation.
Around me is a crater, made out of glass. Did I create this? Beyond that are the golden sands of a beach, a bit more inland is the lush greenery of a tropical island. The air smells salty. Could it be that I woke up on an island? The scenery and air point towards this being the most logical conclusion, but another question is plaguing my mind.
???: "How did I get here?"

Author's Note: First attempt at this, could be worse, could be better.
Thought I'd give this a shot. You never know.
Anyways, chapter 1 soon...
That is if don't procrastinate like I did while preparing to write this.
