Overnight I think of other places to take Charles, so when I wake up I quickly put on some jeans and a Ferrari F1 t-shirt that I splurged on a few weeks ago. I grab my purse before bounding out of my bedroom to get out of the house before it gets too busy on the roads. The surprise on my brother's face is laughable when he sees my shirt, "I can't believe it, is that a..." I nod in response, "an F1 team shirt? you bet broski" he chuckles and I give him a wave before leaving. I shoot Charles a quick text when i'm in my car to warn him that i'm coming and then I start driving towards the hotel.
I park in the visitors lot before walking into the towering building, checking my phone for the right hotel room number. Once in the elevator I bite my lip watching the number increase on the small screen above my head anxious for Charles to see my new shirt. The ding signifying that the doors will open make me release my lip to smile, I step into the hallway taking a left to follow the right range of room numbers. In front of Charles' door I quickly bring up a fist knocking before lowering my hand to wait for him. Seconds later the door opens, the Monegasque's eyes immediately go to my shirt, I do a slow spin hands out for him to see, "do you like it?" I ask when i'm facing him again, he's grinning dimples visible, "I love it, but you didn't need to" he replies before pulling me closer by my hips, "I need to support the important people in my life, also I think I nearly gave my brother a heart attack because i'm wearing racing merch for the first time in my life" this makes Charles laugh and bring me into a hug, "I think it suits you Della" I smile as he presses a quick kiss to my head. "Okay lets get out of here, I have so many great things planned" I say before stepping out of his arms to take his hand. He lets me pull him towards the elevator to get back down to street level to begin our day.
We get into my car minutes later, I start it before looking over at Charles, "i'm going to take you to my favourite breakfast place" he takes my hand squeezing it, "parfait Della" he replies making me smile and turn to the road as I drive away from the hotel. "Ferrari red looks perfect on you" the Monegasque's statement makes me look his way for a second to see a smile on his face, I blush as I turn forward, "stop doing that" I murmur, Charles chuckles, "what am I doing?" he asks, "you randomly compliment me and I never know how to respond" he moves my hand up making me look over for a second, he kisses the back of it softly making my heart flutter, "i need to make up for all of that time away from you Del" I look towards the road again while biting my lip focusing on getting to my favourite breakfast spot. After a few seconds of silence Charles starts rubbing circles into my palm making me smile, "how are you able to release all of the tension in my body with one touch?" I ask not looking at the Ferrari driver, "magic" he replies getting me to laugh as I spot the Seattle Biscuit Company nearing. I gently slide my hand away from his to be able to park in one of the available spots nearby.
After a good breakfast we leave and Charles doesn't hesitate to take my hand. I smile at the gesture as we walk back to the car. "Okay so I lied this was one of two things planned for today, not that much to it" he laughs as I start the car driving away from the breakfast spot and towards downtown. "Can I get any hints?" I smile but shake my head, "nope it's a surprise, but I swear you're going to love it" he lifts an eyebrow but doesn't pester me for more details as we approach the second destination. "But we were here yesterday Del" Charles exclaims when I tug him towards the Space Needle, "yes but we didn't go up to the top" I say with a grin, this brings a smile to the Ferrari driver's face as I pay for two tickets that will gain us admission up the tower.
"Wow" is all Charles says when we get to the glass enclosed viewing deck that overlooks all of Seattle, "I know, pretty beautiful right" I exclaim my gaze looking out at the city. "Oui bien sûr" the Monegasque replies, I don't see the way he's watching me until he takes my hand. I peer over at him smiling, his expression makes my heart skip a beat, "Charles I was talking about the city out there" he shrugs while smiling, "I know but I was thinking of you instead Del". He slowly brings an arm around my waist tugging me closer, my hands land on his arms while I look into his light eyes seeing nothing but honesty in them. I bring one of my hands to his jaw, my thumb gently moving along his skin "I'm so happy that I met you" I say quietly, he smiles and places a hand over mine, "tu as changer tous pour moi Della" he replies just as quietly while lowering his head slightly. I move onto the balls of my feet bringing my lips to his, a weight lifts off my shoulders as I relax into Charles, the hand he has on my back pulls me flush to his body, my hand sliding to his shoulder as our lips move in sync. The Monegasque pulls away a few seconds later placing his forehead against mine, "i'm so glad we didn't get interrupted this time" I let out a laugh making him chuckle, "I agree" he brushes some hair behind my ear making me smile, "si belle" he murmurs making me blush.
"Now what?" I ask a few seconds later while playing with a loose thread on the shoulder of his sweater, "we go eat and then maybe take a walk" he replies. I giggle, "no I mean what are we going to do about us? I work in Seattle and when you aren't travelling you're in Monte Carlo" he drops a quick kiss to my lips before replying, "nous le découvrions" I bite my lip nervously, "ne t'inquiète pas" I shrug, "I can't help it, you know how my previous relationship ended" Charles kisses my head softly. "Do you trust me?" he asks while peering into my eyes, "yes with my life" I reply with no hesitation, "then we're going to be more than okay" I nod slightly feeling a bit better, "for now lets enjoy this last day before I have to get to the next race" I smile and he takes my hand before tugging me back to the elevator.
