“I can't believe we're doing this!”

I looked at Knight sharply, he closed his mouth immediately.

My car was parked in front of a closed bank where we can see and hear Savanna's conversation with their human classmate, Lyndon. They're just across the street, eating in a small café.

“Chill, Knight. We're not stalking Sav. We're just making sure, Lyndon, won't do anything bad or stupid.” Archer, his older brother explained.

They're the Beta's son. Archer is my best friend. Knight is a year younger than us, same as Ember and Savanna.

“As if she can't protect herself. She's the Delta's daughter! And, isn't she the best among the girls when it comes to martial arts?”

“Shut up! I can't hear them well!” I shouted and hit the steering wheel with my hand.

The two instantly froze.

Lyndon is asking if they can go out again some other time, Savanna just smiled and started gathering her things.

“Why can't she say no to this weak human?!” I asked out loud in annoyance.

“Because that is Savanna, the friendly. She's always nice to everyone. Besides, Lyndon is a good guy. He's a bookworm like her. Maybe that's why she liked him.” Knight answered.

“I don't think she liked him. She's a werewolf and he's a human. They can't possibly be mates!”

“It's possible just rare, Zed.” Archer firmly said this time.

We had a heated argument earlier this morning about mates possibilities. He even cited real life examples just to prove his points. He would be a good lawyer, someday. But being the stubborn me, I won't admit he's right.
'I'll believe what my heart is telling me', that will always be my motto.

I started the car engine when I saw the two get out of the café.

“Hey, Zed, you're not going to-”

Archer didn't get the chance to finish his sentence. I drove the car fast and stopped suddenly in front of Savanna and Lyndon. The two looked at the car, confused.

“My phone.. Where's my phone..” Knight mumbled as he bend to where he dropped his phone.

Archer breath a deep sigh of relief and let go his tight grip on the car seat.

I opened the window and smiled to Savanna.

“Zed?! Is that you, Archer? What are you guys doing here?” She asked surprise.

“I'm here, too! Hi, Lyndon!” Knight showed his head through the back seat window and waved.

“Good evening.” Lyndon's polite greetings. “Are you here to fetch, Sav?”

Wow. Only close friends call her by her nickname.

The three of us answered in unison but I said 'yes' while the siblings said 'no'.

Lyndon looked at Savanna, she just shrugged her shoulders.

Do they understand each other without verbal conversation? I asked myself.

“The siblings meant to say, 'no, you're not mistaken'. That, yes, we're here to fetch 'Sav'.” I explained, putting emphasis on her nickname.

Sav is about to say something but her phone rang so she answered it instead.

“Yes, Mom. I'm going home now. Okay, I'll see you later.” She hung up and looked at Lyndon. “Sorry, I have to go now.”

I laughed internally, I succeed in stopping her ride with him on his motorcycle. But my little victory was cut short when Sav gave him a hug followed by a quick kiss on his cheek.

We all froze in shock.

Lyndon's cheeks turned rosy...

I felt a surged of jealousy in my veins. I gripped the steering wheel tighter. Archer was still speechless...

“Wow...” I heard Knight mumbled after recovering from his own shock.

“Drive safely. See you on Monday..” Sav said before getting in, beside Knight.

“Let me know when you're home.” Lyndon said, smiling broadly. Red tinge still visible on his cheeks.

I controlled myself from making the car fly. I watched Sav through the mirror, she looks so happy...

I focused on driving and remained silent until we reached our pack's village. The Westwood Heights is an exclusive village of Blue Moon pack owned by our family.

The Beta's house is in the first block, along with the guards houses.

I stopped the car in front of a two storey house with the pink gate, it's the Beta's house. Their mother loves pink.

“Thanks for the ride, Zed. Good night, guys..” Archer said before entering the gate.

“Good night, Beta siblings.” Sav said.

“Sav, can you move here in front?”

“Oh, right. You're not my driver.” She laughed before getting out. I opened the door to my side, she quickly get in.

“How did you know I was there?” She asked.

“Seat belt first...” I said as I put her seat belt on.

“Oh... T-thanks...”

This is not the first time we've been left together in a car but it's the first time she's been awkward with me.

I just smiled and started driving to the direction of their house.

“It's not just a coincidence, right?” She asked again, looking outside the window.

“Do you think we stalked you?”

“Yes.”

“What if we do?” I glimpsed at her.

“Well... I know you, guys, are just concern but I don't want it to happen again... Respect my privacy, please...” I felt her gaze on me.

“We're here...” I announced. “Have a good night, Sav...”

She took her seat belt off but the next words she said suddenly made my whole world stop...

“I like him... I really do...”

I looked into her eyes. She tried to hold my stare but being an alpha, she gave up after a moments. But that's enough for me to prove she's telling the truth...

“This can't be...” I mumbled looking outside.

“Why not? It's not against our rules.”

“You're a wolf, he's human! You'd put our whole specie in danger just because you liked that weakling!” I shouted and hit the steering wheel out of anger.

She flinched. I stared at her, I can feel her fear.

“I... I'm...” someone knocked on my window.

“What's going on? Sav? Are you alright?” Ember is on Sav's side in an instant.

Sav opened the door, she's shaking. Ember helped her get out.

“Go home now, Zed. I'll take care of Sav.” Ember said looking straight into my eyes in a commanding tone.

I watched them until they get into the Delta's house before I went home.
I let the guard park my car in our garage and walked straight into my room.

It might just be my emotion or she's just angry. But I swear, I saw strange fire in Ember's eyes. Her blue eyes seemed to turned into a flaming red for a moment...

Maybe it's just really my emotions because it's impossible...

I laid on my bed face first... My head is now throbbing in pain...
