Hey my name's Rylie Matthews I'm 16 years old and live in California with my parents. I live next to the Lynch family, we've all been friends forever and I've known them my whole entire life. To be honest I couldn't imagine a life without them. I'm close to all the Lynch's they're practically my siblings but I'm definitely closer with Riker, you would expect so since we've been dating for 4 years now and I'm very happy. We started off as best friends and although Riker is 2 years older than me we couldn't keep away from each other. We found it kinda weird at first, you know dating someone who you've known since kindergarten but we got over that obstical and now we spend every spare minute of the day together. I'm glad to have all the Lynch's, it helps stop me from missing my older brother Jace so much. He's away in London at college at the moment and I'm happy for him but before he left we were really close so I miss him like you wouldn't imagine. im not good with being far away from the people I love.

Today had been an amazing day, all of the Lynch's and I had done so much. We'd been to the theme park, the beach to surf and play games, the movies to watch a comedy and were now currently sat around a camp fire once again back at the beach, telling stories and singing songs. It was perfect, the most relaxing, fun day that I've had in a while. It was good to get away from all the stress at home and the schoolwork and gcse's that ive been doing non stop lately. Normally my house is pretty chilled and quiet but lately my parents have been arguing and whispering things to eachother, always stopping the conversation when I walk through the door or moving into a different room to talk, its like im not even there sometimes. It's really been getting to me lately, I know that they're keeping something from me and I'd rather they not. I cant stop thinking about it, what could be so important that they can't tell me? I mean ive heard some things that they have said and I absolutely hate what I've heard but they can't really be serious, can they?

I was snapped back into reality when the warmth of Riker's body that was once next to me had dissappeared into the darkness. "where'd Riker go?" I questioned looking around the fire. The only person I saw was Ross.
"Oh the guys and Delly just went to get more firewood but I couldnt exactly help" Ross stated while pointing at his leg.
A smile slowly crept onto my face and the laughter I so desperately tried to keep in, exploded from my lungs as the images of the events from earlier today replayed in my mind.

4 hours earlier...

Rylies pov
"Riker I need a piggy back the sand is too hot, and it's burning my feet" I whinned like the big kid that I was.
"I can't exactly carry you at the moment babe, im carrying our surfboards, just ask one of the other guys or hop your way to the deck chairs."
"I'm not hopping all the way to the beach chairs im too lazy and plus my feet will still burn. Soooo Rocky...., Ross...., Ryland..... anyone wanna give me a piggy back?" I shouted to the boys who were messing about ahead of me. I could see that Rocky was carrying his and Ross' surf board's and that Ryland was carrying his, so they were out of the question and were sure to have said no.
They each turned around and gave me the simple answers that I expected from them of "no" or "I can't, I've got my hands full." So that only left one person, Ross. I gave Ross my best puppy face, and he being the big softy he is (and maybe the fact that I told him I would buy him something later and do whatever he wants for the rest of the night) said that he'd be happy to give me a piggy back and told me to climb on his back.

Now normally I wouldn't have excepted one or even have asked for one from a fourteen and a half year old but being as he was already slightly taller than me I excepted it. I jumped on his back and shouted "away we go, to the deck chairs" he started running past Rocky, Ryland and Riker and I couldn't help but laugh at the stupid horse and for some reason elephant noises that he had started making as he ran through the sand.

We then arrived at the beach chairs, way before anyone else. Ross was out of breath and had just placed me back down in the sand, we were still In a fit of giggles and I couldn't catch my breath. Ross managed to calm down but then decided to tickle me to death, I couldn't stop wiggling around, I hated being tickled and my stomach was starting to cramp from laughing so much. That's when I accidentally kicked ross in the stomach. "owwwwww!" ross cried out in pain
