Chapter five- Down the block

I felt something send shivers behind me.

I turned around. A tingling feeling ran through my back.

Nothing.
There was nothing there.

I didn't like the feeling that surrounded me so I entered Mitches room.

"Hey guys" I said opening the door.

"Oh hey! We were just about to ask if you wanted to go to the park. Going to the park at midnight is always the best" Miguel said.

"Sure!" I said smiling.

I could feel my pressure building up and I knew something bad was gonna happen but I didn't know what.

I grabbed my shoes and we walked outside it took us 10 minutes to get to the park before we arrived.

I was already on the swings and hawk was next to me.

We swang up trying to see who could get higher and of course he did.

We saw a cars brigh lights pull up near us. Hawk stood up and watched as it blinded us.

The car door swung open.

And there was kyler, brucks, and 4 of his other friends.

Hawk pulled me behind him.

"Stay here" he said pointing to the ground next to the shed.
I hid behind the shed and hawk walked over to the boys.

"You ready for your beating reah?" Kyler said laughing.

"Try me" Miguel said smiling.

"9 vs 6. I like my odds" kyler added laughing.
3 of kylers other friends walked out.

There was no way we were winning this one.

I saw the boys fighting and I moved my head back behind the shed as I saw one of the tall boys look over.

I heard footsteps walk over towards me and when I looked up the boy was looking straight at me.

"Hi..." I said smiling awkwardly.

He laughed.

"Wesley" he said smiling.

He pulled my arm and held me tightly.

"Look. We can work this out. Over some breakfast maybe even some lunch?" I said trying to push him.

He laughed.

"So yeah?" I said grinning.

He held my arm tighter digging his nails into the back of my waist.

He brought me out by kyler and it looked like kyler and his friends we're definitely winning. Kyler was beating the shit out of Miguel and two people were on hawk. Miguel was on the floor badly beaten everywhere and kyler was walking over to me wiping the blood off his nose and mouth.

"Who do we have here?" Kyler said winking.

"Kyler. I I'm sorry. Don't hurt me we're sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry" I begged.

"Hurt you? Wesley. I won't hurt you. I'm just gonna make you feel good" He laughed.

"Put her in the car." Kyler said.

His friends finished fighting and we heard sirens down the street. The tall boy tried to push me in the car but I fought back

Hawks POV:
When I saw that boy with Wesley I flipped. My whole body stopped. All I know was I was not letting them hurt her. I ran over and kicked his jaw knocking him out and grabbing Wesley. I didn't stop there. I punched his face until he was crying and then kicked him in the guts.

Wesley was shocked and a little bit scared and I looked over at her.

"Come on let's go!" I yelled. I helped up Miguel and me and the boys and Wesley ran to the house.

I don't know what happened with the police but hopefully nothing involving us.

After the boys ran inside we sat there laughing our asses off at the pussies.

I looked over at Wesley who was crying.

I felt terrible.

"Hey you okay?" I whispered in her ear.

I picked her up putting her on the counter and wiping her tears.

She nodded her head.

"Hey Wes your okay now!" Miguel said getting close to her. What was he doing.

They were too close. I was feeling an ultimate wave of jealousy.

What the fuck! I punched that boy. I saved her. This is my time. That's why the next thing I knew I was kissing her. Everyone stopped.

"What the fuck" Miguel said.

"Shit" I said backing up.

The whole house went silent.

Wesley looked around confused and shocked.

"I should probably go" Wesley said grabbing her bag.

Wes put her head down and left.

"Why the fuck did you kiss her?" Miguel said.

"Why not?" I said smiling.

Miguel pushed me.

I pushed him back.

He punched me and I pushed him down hitting him.

"You have moon man" Miguel said kicking me.

I kicked him off of me and shoved him into the wall.
"I don't want moon!" Hawk yelled

Finally the boys broke up the fight.

"she's mine man" I said punching him.

"She kissed me" Miguel said.

"what?" I said confused.

I stopped. That's when Miguel slammed my back into the counter.

The boys pulled him off of me.

"Stay the fuck away from her." Miguel said.

I stood up and looked at everyone. I grabbed my bag and ran out the house.

Wesleys POV:
I turned and saw Hawk walking alone.

He ran up to me.

We walked in silence until I made it to the magnolia tree by my house. We were standing under it when he paused me.

"Wes. I wanna apologize. Look I know you don't like me but I like you. And I mean crazy a lot" hawk said

"Hawk it's fine" I said cutting him off.

"No you don't understand I love you Wes" he said.

I paused and made my way closer to him.

I held his neck and kissed him on my tippy toes. He backed me up against the tree and he continued to kiss me.

"I love you too" I said smiling.

The magnolia flowers from the tree began to fall and the wind blew which made my hair blow viscously. He picked up a magnolia flower and put one behind my ear.

"It's so weird to think that we met here in fifth grade.." Eli said.

"It is.." I said smiling.

He walked me home and I hugged him.

"And thank you. For earlier. I'll see you later at school" I said waving.

He waved back.

I walked inside.
