Devyn Sinclair

A high-pitched howl. You've gotta be fucking with me.

I felt my heart drop as my running came to a sudden stop. My breath stopped as I went fully quiet. I could feel my heart in my ass right now. Of course this would happen to me, with my luck they'll attack me now. I'd pick to go out by a wild wolf over dying in a cell any day, but it wouldn't be very satisfying getting torn apart by wild wolves.

I hear a twig snap behind me causing to quickly turn around, getting whiplash from my loose hair. A few feet away from the twig I heard leaves tussling with something? Someone? If it's a pack of wolves I definitely have to run, but I could take on one, right? I would say that I should be scared of him finding me but I've ran way to far for way to long. He's not going to find me.

I hear leaves motion again, causing me to walk towards them. If I die, I die. No big deal.

Survival Tip Number 1:
You won't survive somewhere where you can't change. Change is necessary in all forms.

If I weren't to investigate whatever the fuck this is, it's another loose end that will end up coming back to bite me in the ass.

No loose ends.

If I was in any shape of my normal mentality, would I proceed towards this? No, probably not. But, you have to change and adapt to your surroundings. Use what you have, he always said that.

S.T.1

I take a deep breath, letting my breathing fall to silence. I count down to three and turn the corner, only for nothing to be there besides the chilly winter wind. I mumble a stretch of cuss words under my breath at my paranoia. I look up at the tree-canopies that hid the night sky from me. Limiting my light to the small shines of moonlight that occasionally peaked through.

The wind started to pick up, causing goosebumps to rise on-top of my skin. A shiver of coldness coating my entire body. I just have to keep moving, find resources. I've been in worse conditions than this.

"It's freezing Devyn, your dads crazy!" Ashton whisper yelled at me while we passed through the dark forest coated in snow. "My thermometer reads 10 degrees! I can feel the snow through my 8 layers of clothes and a winter jacket! The wind isn't helping!" He sighed and pulled his beanie and earmuffs more down his head.
