Since the day Genesis turns to the underground sword gambling fight, the money she earns is tripled, but the risk is as high as it's never was. Every match she wins, she earns half a money people gambled on her. If she loses, she must pays every single cents that people gambled on her. This is a huge risk, but to earn her living she must do it. Moreover she is forced to give up her finest sword if she dares lose. Each day she walks passed the gate, what she always sees is the household women leaving day by day. She soon discovered that after 3 months of her father's death, both her step mother and her step sisters almost used up all the money. She knows that without her father here working, there is no way that this day will not arrive. Not to mention her steps luxurious life style. What she had never realized is that it has already been 3 months since she began her day in the underground sword fight.

"Dragon Deity," a man at the reception called her.

"No match today, I'm just here to watch," Genesis said without hesitation.

"As you wish the queen of the arena."

"Dragon Deity," a man dressed in black called out for Genesis. His eyes were as cold as ice.

"Asura God, indeed I'm here," Genesis replied with a cold smile. Asura God and her had know each other for months now. He is the only one she can talk to if she feels a little lonely. Although they need to maintain their distance in the underground arena, they still have some private time to talk openly.

"No match today?" he asked.

"None?"

"Either do I," he said and they walk to the same spot they used to go every time they both have no match, a private meeting room. Inside the glass room they both constantly watch the fight in the arena below them.

"For you." In a silence atmosphere Asura God speaks up as he puts a violet rose on the table in front of them. Genesis receives the rose and takes a glance at it. She could not held her thought, but asks,

"Violet rose?"

"Just like you, beautiful and mysterious." Genesis knows that when Asura God smiles even if most of his face was covered in mask, but his charm still escape to people around. She could not bear to let out a light smile. Maybe all of these feelings is just because they have been fighting along side each other for at least a hundred matches. Their feeling toward each other is some kind of friends—good friends.

"Will we ever have the chance to know more about each other?" Asura God asks.

"Asura God, although I would love to know more about you, this is the underground fight, we should never know more about each other. I do not dare to ask more, even if I trust you as friend. I also can not say for sure if you would feel the same way as I do," Genesis explains.

"What you've said is indeed right. Maybe it is not a good time. Dragon Deity, I hope for you to know that I trust you too as my good companion," Asura God said. In each of his words Genesis could feels an air of noble flowing.

"I will leave it up to faith for now. It has brought us together in our undercover form, but if we are really meant to be, then we will definitely meet again when we are not in disguise." Genesis said with her warm expression.

"faith? I hope it won't play trick on us," Asura God said in a low voice. He slowly reaches into his cloak and pulled out a letter. He hands the letter to the maiden in front of him.

"Meet me at the ball," he said to Genesis.

"An invitation? A ball?" Genesis takes the letter and glance at Asura God.

"I work in the palace. You don't know?"

"Know what? What do you expect a girl like me to know anyway," Genesis smiles.

"The crown prince ball the following week."

"Not interested," Genesis nods.

"I won't leave it all up to faith. You know, Dragon Deity, you are a really stubborn girl ever since I've met you."

"Stubborn? Asura God, I think you have misunderstood my goal."

"What have I missed," Asura God lifts his brows.

"I have no intention to meet the crown prince, but if it is you that I shall go to meet, I will indeed love to. You are the only friend I have, honestly."

"Wear the same mask as we used to wear in the underground fight. Only we will know about this. Promise me that you will come and do so?" he asks.

"I promise. And wearing the same mask on that night will go to you as well," Genesis said with a light smile. She leaves the arena at once.

Genesis reaches for the key that attaches to her necklace to unlock the secret door that was hidden behind the bushes of the forest near her house.

"Genesis dear." The moment she was about to reach the door lock she hears her stepmother calling for her. She turns to her stepmother before saying, "Madam." she did not lowered her head because there are only 2 people that are worth for her to bow in front of. One is her father another is her mother.

"Don't you going to let me in?" her stepmother asks.

"This way." Behind the door was just a typical Chinese style garden with a simple building on one side. That is where she lives. Genesis leads her stepmother to the pavilion in the middle of the lily pond.

"What do you want?" Genesis asks without hesitation.

"The ball for the crown prince to choose his bride is coming up next week. Audrey and Ariana will be there, but they would need a new dress and accessories..."

"You want more money?" Genesis interrupts.

"What a way to speak."

"I hope this is enough. I can't believe that after that much of money I give you three each month is still not enough. Anyway my father is not here anymore it is also my duty to inherit his all, both the honorable actions and his faults," Genesis said coldly. She took out 4 large bags of gold and throw them on the table.

"Fault... You call me a fault." Her stepmother isn't able to hold it anymore. She was about to slap Genesis in her face, but her wrist suddenly felt a massive strength.

"You can never be able to fight me. If there is no other thing, I hope that you leave this place right away. Of course, you are his fault. I respect and love him as my father, so I also respect his decision even though I do not know why did he choose to do so. The duty is on me." Genesis said with a faint cold smile. Her hand gripped at the golden dragon sword hanging down her perfect waist under the large black cloak.
