I'm so booorrreed!!! I hate being grounded, I wish I could talk to notebook boy right now. As I watch my grandpa's card game from the kitchen, I hear a knock on the door. I open up to see my great aunt. "Mrs. Basil E!!!!" I kneel down and give her the biggest hug ever, it seems like I haven't seen her since I was 5. "Oh-ho-ho. Are you all right, my dear?" "Honestly, um, a little rocky." She looks over at the men sitting at the dining table, closes the door and takes me to the kitchen. "That's because you only have one shoe." I was stunned to hear that she knew I was missing a sneaker. "...How did you know?" "A young man tracked it to me." "Notebook boy?" "Very impressive detective work. The work of someone who really cares." "He wouldn't if he'd seen me. I was... a disaster. It was embarrassing." "He's worried about you." "He's worried about the boy in his head, and last night, I proved that I'm not him. I tired to be, but I blew it. If he knew, he wouldn't be looking for me." "If you have your doubts, you could always ask him yourself. I had him keep the shoe, just in case. After all, it's prince who returns the shoe, not the fairy godmother." "I can't. Even if i wanted to talk to him, I--" "He's grounded!!" We both turn over to see my grandfather standing at the entrance of the kitchen, looking angrier then ever. "Aizawa." It was silent for a minute until we heard someone from the other room. "Are we playing or what?" We heard uncle Hizashi yell. Granpa walks out and starts talking to the others. "Game's over, Everybody out." As the other's start to leave I look down at my very small aunt. She looked back at me with a comforting smile. I then see uncle Hizashi walk up and whisper into Mrs. Basil E's ear. "Looking good Chiyo." "You too, Hizashi." They all walk out the door leaving the three of us in the living room. Grandpa looks at Mrs. Basil E with a furious expression on his face. "I said everybody." "Why is Izuku grounded?" "You gave up your right to weigh in on family matters when you abandoned the family--" "Going to Tokyo to become a professional doctor isn't abandoning that family." "You are irresponsible, a bad influence." "Because I took Izuku with me to Tokyo?" "You took him to and adults party when he was only 6 years old!!!" "Fair, but I was younger back then." "Please leave." "I am Izuku's godmother, and I will have my say." "...Fine. You can wait in your room." I was so annoyed that I had to go to my room. Before I could turn around, Mrs. Basil E tugged my arm and gave me a comforting look. I smile back at her and leave them to talk.
...
A few minutes have past since I left them. I was in the kitchen watching them through the glass window where they couldn't see me. I wish I knew what they were talking about and I hope that Mrs.Basil E can convince Grandpa to un-ground me. I was so lost in thought that I didn't even notice Iida right behind me at his bedroom door frame. "At least you got to go to a club for once in your life, before, you know, it's over forever, they're never letting you leave the house again." As he enters back into his bedroom. I start to worry. I couldn't stay here for the rest of my life, I'm only seventeen and for crying out loud I haven't even been kissed yet!!! I need to be able to live my own life and to be myself. Before I know it, I was storming into the living room where they were sitting. I was full of anger and fury. I needed to tell Grandpa what I think is fair. "That's it. That's it. This is my life, and I sh--" I froze, I was shocked, I couldn't believe what I was seeing right in front of my eyes. Grandpa was crying! What on earth did she say?! "What sis you say him him, Mrs. Basil E?" "You and your grandfather need to have a conversation." "Grandpa? I'm sorry. I will never leave the house again." "Izuku, darling, this is not about you." I look over at Mrs. Basil E for some answers or something, but she just smiled and me! What on earth does that mean?! "I hope to see you soon, Aizawa." "You're going home?" "You can handle this." "No, no I can't his crying!" "Do you know what my mother used to tell me? 'Argue your limitations, and they are surely yours.'" "What does that mean?" She looked at me with a funny look, like she was about to laugh. "Seriously, what does it mean?" She placed a kiss on my cheek, scooted on past me and left out the door, leaving me puzzled, scared, and quite frankly, very lost. I look over at my grandfather sitting on the sofa. I take a sit down infront of him inan armchair so I could face him. "What's wrong, Grandpa?" "*sighs* I proposed to Nemuri. She turned me down. That's why I'm home." "...I'm so sorry. You two seemed so... happy." "She doesn't want to move to New York." "Yeah, duh." "Excuse me?" "She doesn't like it here. You always go to see her because the weather's nice, and she has the pool." "...I live in New York. Family lives in New York." "I know. ...Why did you propose to her? I mean... Do you love her?" He looks at me with a confused look trying to process what I just said. "She makes me feel, less lonely." "I know what the feels like." He stared at me with a shocked look on his face. He probably thought that no one would feel like that to someone, other then him and Nemuri. "It's nice. ...Do you like Florida?" "It's very pleasant. Produce is excellent." "I think you should talk to her, see if you could work things out. There are worse things than sitting at a pool, feeling less lonely." "...I'll think about it. I came home so I wouldn't be alone on Christmas, and I found a naked girl in Iida's room and you out all night. I was too harsh. I overreacted. You're still grounded for the rest of today but not forever. And... I wanna take you out for some ice cream, to apologise." We both smile at each other, feeling great that we finally talked about this whole situation. But then, and Idea came to my mind. "Actually, do you know what I'd really like?"
