I wake up to the sound of my alarm clock. 7:00 A.M. I have to get ready for school. my bus comes in 30 minutes. I am your typical American girl, except for the fact I am a huge geek. As I brush my long brown hair, i wonder what it would be like to fit in. I do my makeup and head out the door. I get on the bus, not very excited but willing. Luckily, my best friend, Hazel, lives a block away from me, so we ride the same bus. She always saves a seat for me.
"So an A+ on your math test huh?" asks Hazel.
"Yah, but its no big deal!" I reply angrily.
"What do you mean its no big deal? i can hardly get a C+!. My point is im jealous!"
"Hazel you? jealous of me? Please. You and your silky Blonde Hair and emerald green eyes! you have it real bad Hazel!"
"Well being pretty doesnt seem to help with our popularity much now does it?"
"I am probably holding you back. You were so popular until you hung out with me."
"Zoey even if you were holding me back, i wouldnt care! You are my Best Friend! Not even popularity could change that!"
"Okay what ever i'll take your word for it then."
After Hazel and i get off the bus, we walk past the popular girls in school, including their evil ruler, Lexi. She is or so the guys say, the hottest girl in school. There are so many groups in school. The geeks which is where Hazel and i are, the nerds, the smellies, the pops, the hotties, and the jocks. Oh and the rebels. Most of the rebels are quite rebellious, except one, Jake Baker. He for some reason intriques me. You would think i would like a jock or a hottie, But no. I just had to fall for a rebel. But hey, as they say, you cant help who you fall in love with right?
