(This chapter is about the polices view to these past points of the story and will go back to the girl in the next chapter . this police women will be in the next chapter and this is a big part to the next chapter)
I wake up to a phone call as I rub my eyes I see that I have 14 missed calls. I know it's time to get ready and as I do, I wonder what crime it will be this time, a rape? A break in? And Mugging? Maybe even a missing person? I don't know but I can tell it's bad. I don't bother showering or brushing my teeth or even eating I just brush my hair, put my clothes on, shine my police badge and walk out the house.
I arrived at the crime scene to see a car in the middle of the road. My partner comes up to me and tells me what's what.
"You alight partner" says Mike
"Causal emotion what we got here then" I ask
"Well the car belongs to a Mrs Sarah pipers, but she wasn't the one driving it, she wasn't even one of the passengers"
"So who was?"
"Her son, tie was driving it, late last night the construction workers down the road said they saw the exact same car drive past at 3 am last night"
"Why that late shouldn't he of been at home"
"Well tie is 16 and has a twin Dylan, and we questioned dylan this morning and he said that tie went to a party last night but Dylan didn't remember seeing him come home when he went bed at 1 am"
"So how did he die?"
"Well that's why I called u down here, when we found Mr pipers he was through his windshield and had bites all over him, do you recognise any animals that would have these bites?"
He shows me the cold dead body that laid and I could help but not think that he was only 16, the bites where all over his neck and he looks like his body was in shock the moment he died. I couldn't think of any animal with that type of bite or that size bite. I said no and I took some pictures. I got back in my car and went to the forensic doctors to see if they knew anything.
I finally get to the police building and I felt tension all around me. I posted the printed photos through the office door and knocked as their was a note on the door saying 'knock before entering, high contaminated waste being investigated in here' mo the forensic doctor came out with the pictures and lead me down to her office. We sat down and I asked her about the bites.
"To me they seem like human bites?" She pointed out
"Human bites,Mo u must be mad, their not human bites" I shouted
"They have the exact same amount of teeth a human does" said Mo
"So check if any other animal had the same amount" I say
"And their is, but I don't recognise these bites, look give them here and I'll look more in to it" said Mo
"Fine but I'm telling you their not human bites" I say walking out.
I walk past and I bump into my boss who asks to speak with me privately. I follow him in to his office as he sits down and asks to talk. "You know you are a very bright girl detective Shine, (I smile) but your job isn't very bright (I frown in confusion) I brought u here detective shine because if you don't nail this next crime then your gone for, even your partner detective kenedik, and I don't wanna have to get rid of such a bright girl like you, that's all I needed to say so could u leave now and get back to work."
I didn't say nothing so I get up and I leave the room my anger takes control of me and I go to my desk and I kick my desk. People look over and I give them all dirty looks. My pencil pot drops and I kneel down to pick it up. I didn't relise the time until I looked at the clock and saw it was 1pm and I dropped the pencil pot, grabbed my coat and drove to the hospital, I forgot I was ment to see my grandma today as she has been in the hospital very sick for the past 2 years, She lasted longer then my mum who died 4 years ago with my dad in a car crash. I was only 20 but it hurt me so much more then it was ment to, after that my grandma fell down her stairs and couldn't get back up again. I see her every 3 days but I have to call her every day anyway.
I walk to her hospital room over to her bed and give her a kiss. She is asleep so I creep quietly around her bed and sit down. A half an hour later she wakes up and look over at me.
"Your late" she says
"No I wasn't" I demand, she looks over to me and pulls a convinced face like she knows I was late.
"Ok ok so I was, How did you know when I came in You was asleep?" I asked
"Cause your always late" she laughed
She closed her eyes and hymned the same lullaby she always does. She then looks over to me and stares at me again.
"You know grandma it's rude to stare." I say
"Not if you have the same blood stream, you look stressed"
"Me stressed, of corse I'm stressed gran I always am"
"Ok ok don't hate on the old girl" she implied. She specks again "what is it this time?"
"I can't show your grandma, it's police private and confidential"
"So?" She asks
"So I would get in a lot of trouble if they found out I showed you this, I am the top detective you know" I told her
"Yeah and I'm the president, look Hun just show me the God dam evidence so I can help"
I look at her and smile, I reach over for the photos and I give her the photos,
"Oh my" she says
"What is it gran?"
" I know what them bites are!"
"What are they?"
She pulled me closer to her in a hurry as she looks around the room,
"You will think I'm crazy but my grandfathers, grand mothers ancestors were all slayors, vampire slayors, it's in my blood and yours, these bites are a vampire bite and you have to find this vampire then kill it" she explains
"What do you mean, vampire?"
"Please don't think I'm going crazy it's the truth, I was taught about them and so was my mother and time and time before that, but I didn't teach your mother about vampires cause I thought they were extinct, and that I wouldn't have to tell her, you have to go to my old house go in to the cellar and find the hidden door in their is all vampire slayer weapons take them and kill that vampire" she explains more
"Grandma your going crazy, I can't believe your telling me this, nurse!" I shouted
"No no" she screamed and she pulled me close "it's the truth please trust me your life is in grave danger, just go to my old house read that dusty old book and kill that vampire before it kills anyone els."
I just ran out after that, I know my grandma is dying but I didn't think it made you that crazy.
