It was another day at work, Dawn quickly got dressed and went downstairs to make breakfast. Ashlynn then followed after her.

"Ash, ready for your first day at work?" Dawn grinned.

"More than ready mom!" Ashlynn exclaimed.

"Oh anak, can you go get my bag upstairs?" Dawn

Ashlynn went upstairs to retrieve the bag. Meanwhile, Adam came into the kitchen and hugged Dawn from the back. (a/n adam and dawn doesn't live together yet lol) Dawn turned around, then Adam leaned in. Dawn sighed and walked quickly to the table.

"Uhm, Adam, are you g..gonna eat here?"Dawn, with a sheepish smile on her face.

Adam's face flushed in embarrassment, because Dawn completely ignored the fact that he was trying to kiss her.

"No, I'll just eat at the airport."

"Airport? Bakit Adam?

"Emergency. Family emergency. Dad had another heart attack."

"Oh, okay. Make sure to call me okay? I hope everything goes well."

"Thanks, Hon."

"Yeah....."

Within a second, Adam was out the door.

Dawn walked into her office and was immediately greeted by Richard. Dawn walked to her chair and sat down. Her hair bouncing on her shoulders. She looked exquisite even at work.

"Anong ginagawa mo dito?"

"Is it okay to ask questions about our daughter?"

"Why should you ask anyways? Noon ayaw na ayaw mo sakanya, tapos ngayon?"

Richard sat next to Dawn and held her shoulders. Dawn felt uncomfortable staring into his deep brown eyes. She felt like she was drowning, and no one was there to help her. She put her hands on her lap and looked down.

"What do you want to know?" Dawn asked

"What happened, after I...after I left?" Richard

Dawn sighed, unsure if she wanted to answer his questions. But she did anyways, to finally lift the weight off her shoulders.

"Well, after you left, Mom and Dad decided that I should just come to America to forget about everything. I studied the fashion industries and before you know it, I became famous for my designs. Then Ashlynn finally came along, I was so so happy. I was still hoping you'd take her back, but...."

"But what Dawn?"

Then a familiar voice interrupted.

"But she knew you'd never come back."

It was Ashlynn. She had tears running down her rosy cheeks. Dawn put her hands over her mouth and began sobbing. Richard looked at Ashlynn and walked over to her. He tried to hug her.

"So you're my dad?"

"Yes!" Richard said happily

"I'm sorry, but I'm not ready to be your daughter. Don't try to act fake around us please? You hurt my mom, you broke her heart. Just...just don't force yourself back into our lives. We were better off without you."

Richards tears quickly rushed, his happy tone gone, he was hurt. Hearing the words from his daughter broke him. Dawn then turned her head toward Ashlynn.

"Ana-"

"It's okay mom. I'm not mad at you. You did your best to raise me without him and I'm thankful for that," Ashlynn said with a slight smile on her face. The smile filled with sadness.

"Ashlynn, I'm sorry." Richard

"Is sorry going to fix everything sir Richard? Is sorry going to make up the years you weren't there for us? Is sorry going to mend my moms broken heart? sorry. sorry. sorry. That's not going to fix anything, is it?" Ashlynn

"What do you want me to do? I'll do anything to be a great dad to you, anak." Richard

"Be a better man."
