Perhaps, we could meet again
but there will be consequences.
WAKING UP
You yawned, the noise of the bustling street below unforgiving, not letting you get another wink of sleep.
You are F/N L/N, still attending college to get a degree in affective science, the study of human emotions.
You were fascinated by these "feelings" that you all felt, like what greater purpose they would hold.
But, feelings didn't have to be just facts in science, you could experience them first-hand.
You quickly got dressed, throwing on a sweater and some jeans, and made some coffee. You never got enough sleep at night, either studying or kept awake by those... dreams of yours.
Those dreams always filled with blood and fighting. But there was this man in them as well.
You could never see his face but he had short, black hair with green streaks in it. He had this weird gem on his glove and use a spear or polearm to protect you.
You couldn't help but feel a sort of, feeling towards him, known as affection and love. Just a man in your dreams, yet you had feelings for him? You couldn't comprehend it.
You hurried out of the apartment complex and started to walk, the fresh, salty air of Liyue Harbor greeted you.
But as you were almost at your college, you ran into some tricky fellows.
REVISITING
Xiao sat atop of what was now Wanshu Hotel. Verr Goldet's smile lingered in his brain. She treated him like her own son.
Someone else to add to his list of people he missed.
At the top?
Of course, Y/N.
He opened his clenched fist to reveal something special. The only thing he had left of hers.
"Xiao, I may not know your birthday but Morax told me it's this month!" The girl grinned wildly as she ran towards him. He scoffed, rolling his eyes.
"I do not waste my time on such worthless ideals of yours," Xiao said, looking down at the mortals. The female rolled her eyes, "You can call it worthless all you want, here, take it! I made it for you!"
Xiao took the small item into his hands, it was a piece of wood that was carved to look sort of like his mask.
His brows furrowed, "What the hell is this? It serves no greater purpose, why should I keep it?"
The girl laughed and plopped beside him, forgetting all the politeness that adepti were supposed to show.
"Just keep it for me alright?" the girl said, giving him a wink and brushing her finger against the tip of his nose.
Xiao's eyes widened and he looked away, trying to conceal the blush that threatened to slip.
Nonetheless, he kept the piece of wood.
