Chapter 15

At 6:47, Dahyun's already by the door, walking in circles like a stressed out puppy. She's so agitated for nothing, she thinks.

"We're just going to have a normal conversation." She told herself. "Dahyun, pull yourself together. If you get your hopes down because of your own stupidity, you're dead."

7:00 hits and the doorbell ringed.

Dahyun exited the house and immediately turned around to go back inside because what the heck is she rushing for?

"Dahyun, where are you going?" Mina asked.

"I, uh, you know, uh—" Dahyun bit her lip hard, frowning at her own stuttering show. She turned towards the gate and stepped outside. "Just to let you know, I was tasked to throw the trash. I wasn't waiting."

"Yeah sure. Say that to your long time bestfriend." Mina sarcastically said.

"Is that all you came here for?" Dahyun frowned.

"No. I have something for you." Mina pulled a present from her back and handed it to Dahyun. "This is what I came here for, actually. 8 days from now is your birthday and this is supposed to be my gift, but I don't think this would have any use if I wait for your birthday."

Dahyun took the present, guessing it with her hands. A book was Dahyun's immediate thought. She motioned to open it but Mina didn't let her.

"Open it later, a minute after I go."

"Why? Will this explode?"

"There's a surprise." Mina said. "Tomorrow, I'll wait for you in the morning. Let's go to school together, just the two of us, like before."
