Ancient Secrets

A/n- Not to make u guys feel bad but I'm gonna do the animal as a wolf since it would be easier to write it that way.

I am so sorry for not updating this!!! Forgive me! I just couldn't find the right time!

Your P.O.V:

I walked deeper into the cave, watching my step so I don't trip over any rocks. The clattering still echoed faintly and I walked towards the left wall, feeling the smooth stone. I managed to make my way around some fallen rocks. There was a faint light ahead and I could see where I was going. The light became brighter and brighter and I shielded my eyes with my arms. Soon, they got used to the light and I was amazed. 

There was an underground waterfall, pouring into a crystal water lake. There were some birds flying by and a lot of creatures had made this place a home.  There was some lighting from the ceiling and the colors on the waterfall were a light shade of green, giving off a peaceful vibe around the area. "This place is amazing." I said looking around at all the caves with glowing quartz lining their entrance. I spotted something shining in a cave up above the waterfall. There were rocks, but they seemed unstable and had wet moss covering them. I stepped towards the edge of the water and looked down. I saw my own reflection, staring back at me. I closed my eyes, taking a few deep breaths, trying to remember if my mother had said anything about what I have just found. 

You ran towards your mother as a younger version of yourself. You were both standing near a river that was moving slowly. She laughed and kissed your cheek softly as she picked you up. Taking a serious look at you, your mother said, " (Y/N), one day you will have your turn." You blinked at her with a glimmering (e/c) gaze. "You will change one day, becoming something you'll understand soon." she said. As you both sat near the riverbed, she said, "You will hear a call, reaching out to you." She set you down. You will have a choice to make. Be wise and listen to what your inner wolf has to say." She said as her voice echoed, the memory fading. 

(I now realize that this flashback is bad)

"Listen to my inner wolf." I say, repeating my mother's words as I open my eyes, seeing that my eyes have changed once again.

I looked into the water, seeing they have changed in gold ones again. I looked at my hands, which now had fur and sharp nails. My teeth had turned to fangs and I felt a furry tail behind me.

Let's see what I can do. I thought, smirking to myself. Without warning, I leaped onto one of the rocks in the lake, using my claws to dig into the moss. I kept leaping from rock to rock until I came to the waterfall. My new golden wolf eyes scanned the surrounding areas and I spotted a rock wall next to the waterfall. 

I entered a small cave with lots of glowing green and blue crystals. It was pretty dark in the cave but I could easily see in darkness. Up ahead, I could faintly see two lights, one green and one blue. Slowly, I crept closer to the glowing crystals on the pedestal. I picked up both, not wanting to choose just one and everything began to shake. I began to run out of the cave, dodging falling rocks and crystals. 

I skid to a stop, nearly falling off the edge but I kept my balance. The cave was collapsing and the animals around were running for cover. I turned around, walking away from the edge and towards the cave. I turned back, my golden eyes glowing and I could feel my fur growing and I was now full wolf. I charged at the edge and leaped into the air, landing into the water as the cave collapsed completely. 

I made my way out of the tunnel that led me to that place, found my Creature Pod and it was nighttime. I looked to the moon, softly hearing the howl of other wolves and I gave it my best, I howled for the first time, feeling every vein in my body turn to the wolf inside of me.

. . .

So..........you know like the dramatic escapes in movies where they put it into slow motion and the protagonist like leaps off of something and survives? That's the kind of vibe I'm feeling with this.
