The guards were coming , but I wasn't scared . With Glinda , I could do anything. But my best friend stood shaking in her designer boots . " elphie, why couldn't you've stayed calm for once ? Instead of flying off the handle?!?! Just say you're sorry , then you'll get all you've worked and waited for ! "

I can't want it . Not anymore
I get the feeling inside , somthing has changed . Within me there is somthing that isn't the same as it was.Before all of this.I would've kept my mouth shut , or at least tried to. But I was through with sticking to the rules. But I would miss my best friend... Unless...
"Glinda , come with me . If we work together they won't ever bring us down!"
She sighed before responding, " I hope you're happy , now that you're choosing this. I hope it brings you bliss . "
My heart sinks but I have to face the facts . I'm probably a wanted fugitive already so I guess she's only trying to protect me by letting me go .
As I climbed the hill away from her I sang to her " so if you care to find me, look to the Western sky ! As someone told me lately ,everyone deserves a chance to fly ! "
If I'm flying solo , at least I'm flying free . I can show those who ground me that I can defy gravity. And no-one's gonna bring me down.
