What. The. Freak. Excuse me?! I can't sleep here. No freaking way. And kasama ko pa siya? Of all people? Seriously?

I don't even know how I ended up in this situation with him. He's annoying. As in, painfully annoying. The type na hindi mo pa man nakakausap ng matagal, gusto mo nang i-block sa lahat ng socials.

"W-what? I'm not going to sleep here. No way. Over my hot dead body!" I snapped, crossing my arms tightly across my chest like a protective shield.

He rolled his eyes and walked away—without even answering.

How dare he?!

"Freaking jerk! Hey! Pansinin mo 'ko!" I shouted, my voice echoing across the room. "Lauren's waiting for me sa condo niya! How am I supposed to go home if this thing is locked?!"

He looked irritated. Good. About time he felt something other than smugness. Kanina pa siya ang lakas mang-asar, so maybe this is karma. Deserved.

And then—he stood up. Padabog pa talaga. As if I'm the problem here.

"Tigilan mo na 'yang kaartehan mo," he said, his tone sharp. "At tsaka, hindi ka hihintayin ni Yam—"

"I know her as Lauren." I cut him off, lifting a brow.

He scoffed. "Oh, edi Lauren. The point is, she's not going to wait for you. I'm sure she's out drinking somewhere with her gimmick friends. Hindi ka na niya iintindihin. Kahit dito ka pa tumira, wala 'yang pake."

I stared at him. "So?" I raised an eyebrow again, sharper this time. Does he think I care what he thinks? And how dare he cut me off like that?

"Alam mo ba—"

"What?" I snapped, already fed up. "Is this another ghost story? Ha-ha. No thanks. Not falling for that again." I rolled my eyes for the millionth time tonight.

He smirked. "Ang lapad ng likod mo."

I gasped. "Did you just insult me!?" My jaw dropped. Unbelievable. I was not going to let that slide.

"Hindi po, madam. Sorry na," he said quickly, even pouting a little.

Gross. That didn't suit him at all.

"You look disgusting," I muttered without even blinking.

He gave me a look—yung parang nandidiri siya, tapos dahan-dahan siyang umupo sa sahig like he was done with life. He glanced at the mess of books scattered everywhere and randomly picked one up.
