"WATCH IT," MYRIA HISSED as Varian checked her blaster wound for the fourth time within the two hours they had been in the cave. "I seriously doubt it's gotten infected in thirty minutes."

Varian merely rolled his eyes. "You say that sarcastically, but it's possible. Now hold still," He pressed more disinfectant into her skin until he was sure it was clean. "All done. I'll leave you alone for the rest of the night now."

"Thank god," Myria sighed with a laugh. She hit his head playfully as she sat up and stretched. "I need a break."

Cal watched as she walked towards the front of their small cave and leaned against the rock wall. She took a moment to finally reflect on what was going on. She had stayed out of the fight for so long and suddenly she was back in the fray. She wanted to tell herself she didn't know why she agreed to help Cal, but that would be a lie — she knew exactly why.

Whatever feelings she had had for him before her memory loss was still there, lying in wait — dormant. She ran a hand through her sweaty and greasy hair, sighing. "Credit for your thoughts?" Sage's voice startled her. "It's just me," She chuckled.

Myria sighed and shook her head. "I don't know..." She looked out at the cave, at the pale green crystals that cracked and fell into the water below them. "I just didn't expect to be here."

"In a cave?" Sage tilted her head with a smirk.

"You know what I mean," She sighed. "Freedom fighting. You know what happened the last time. Saw doesn't trust me, neither do most of his squad."

Sage sighed. "What happened...I'm sure it was horrible, but, that power you have? Cal can help you," Myria looked up. She assumed Sage hated Cal. "He's a Jedi, you're a Jedi. He can help you gain control and the next time you use it, you won't...you know..."

"I'm not a Jedi," Myria crossed her arms. "I just have the ability to use the Force. There's a difference." She clenched her jaw, turning away from Sage.

"Ria, look," Sage's shoulders slumped. "This is who you are, like it or not."

"It's not who I am!" Myria scoffed. "I don't know who I am. It's like there are two different versions of me — the one Cal knew, and the one Kashyyyk made. I might have the power from my old life, but it has no place in my new one."

"You're so stubborn," Sage grumbled and without another word, walked away. Myria didn't care. She knew why Sage was mad and it was for selfish reasons — Myria's power could help release the tight grasp the Empire had on Kashyyyk and she wasn't using it.

No one spoke for hours, not until the cave dimmed and torches flickered on, signifying night had fallen. Myria stayed by the entrance of their small cave, splashing her hands through the water every now and again. She smiled softly as she heard the pitter-patter of BD-1's feet. He cooed softly when he reached her and nuzzled into her side. "Hey, BD," She whispered, patting his head. BD was followed by heavier footsteps and soon Cal was sitting next to her. "Cal," She nodded.
