Fluttering my eyes open in the well lit room, I yawn and take a long stretch on my bed.I look around to see if Hailey was in the room.
But she wasn't.
I suppose she is somewhere in the hall or perhaps with Mrs. Robins maybe.
I step foot on the cold white floors, and stretch one more time once I was standing upright.
I then hear whispering.
God he's up again.
What a waste of space.
No one wants to see you.
Just go back to bed.
The outside is scary.
I shake my head as I had to let these negative thoughts out of my head.
After doing my morning routine in the restroom, I make my way to Daisy's room.
"Hi sweetheart," I smile as she gives me a grin with her two small bottom teeth showcasing.
"Mommy left you alone? That's unlike her," I say picking her up from the crib.
I gently run my fingers through her hair as I then softly pushed her head onto my shoulder.
"Wonder how long mommy's been gone for," I say to Daisy even though she can't speak yet.
"Are you hungry?" I ask her and she moved her head to the other side of her face notifying me that she was indeed hungry.
"Okay I'll see if we have some leftover milk in the fridge," I say looking into the fridge for a full bottle of milk for Daisy.
"Or how about we get you some baby food for breakfast today?" I say closing the fridge and looking into the pantry for some baby food.
I then hear a knock at the front door before it was then opened.
"Awake yet Justin?" Hailey says and I told her I was in the kitchen.
"Good morning," she smiles at both Daisy and I, I give her a kiss.
"Sorry, I was with Mrs. Robins," she tells me and I told her that it was okay.
"You want me to set her in her crib?" She asks me and I shook my head.
"She hasn't been fed yet," I reply and she stayed there telling that Mrs. Robins was asking if I was okay. I gave her a confused look.
"Why wouldn't I be?" I ask her.
"Well she assumed you and Diego were good friends, just wanted to make sure if you were doing okay," she explains and I nod my head.
"I mean it wouldn't be the first time," I say.
Hailey sighs, "Yeah that is true," she replies.
"Wouldn't be the first time that Rebecca had an anxiety attack over it either and Mr. Ochoa had to calm her down," I add on.
There's always something going on around here.
"So how does the movies today sound? You haven't had a day off in a few weeks, how about we catch a movie," Hailey suggests and I was internally freaking out, my hands were shaky.
To think of leaving.
"We can just watch a movie here..." I say and she tilts her head.
"Oh come on? Like always? You deserve a day out, of your choice, you have to," Hailey insists.
