Chapter one

Melody's POV.

I was sitting next to my mom who had just openend her computer. 'Is it here?' I asked hoping that there was an email for me. My mom replied 'Yes it is, honey.' 'Oh god, mom can you please open it for me I am way too scared. ' I think I'm having the biggest heart attack ever. I have been wanting to go to Evergreen Arts ever since I was little. Now was finally my moment. I really want to get into this collage and just dance for a living. My dream is to dance on concerts for idols and to dance in movies. 'I'll open it honey.' My mom sais. She clicked on the email and I close my eyes but leave a little space to try and peak. 'We welcome you to our school...' that's enough to make me jump up in my moms arms and cheer. 'I MADE IT MOM I GOT ACCEPTED.' 'YES YOU DID HONEY.'

My mom has always been very supportive of my dreams so has my grandma. I love them both a lot. My grandma lives far away so sadly she can't be with us to see our happiness, but I immediately call her. 'GRANNY GUESS WHAT.' 'You're happy so I am going to guess that you got in?' 'YOU GUESSED CORRECTLY.' 'Child I am very happy for you but I am already deaf on one ear, I would like to keep the hearing on other one.' 'Sorry granny Im just very happy.' 'Me too child, go be happy with your mother I have to eat. I will talk to you soon.'

I have to tell Vic and ask her if she got in too. Victoria is my long time best friend. She's amazing and very kind, but only to me. You see I never really had a big mouth. When we were younger a lot of people would just walk all over me. Right now it's gotten better but no matter what Victoria would always have my back. Like when we were six we where on the playground and a little boy pushed me into the sand and took my lolly pop, then my hero Victoria came and she pushed the boy right back. Sadly the lolly pop fell into the sand but the boy got what he deserved and I gained a new best friend. I was the one that comforted her and she was there for me. Now we applied for the same school because we share our love for dance. I so hope she got in too, I don't think it would be possible for me to go on my own. 'Hey Vic' I call her. 'Hey babes'. 'Soo did you get your letter?' 'Yes oh my god you're not going to believe this. I GOT IN!' 'SERIOUSLY ME TOO OH MY GOD.' 'OKE IM ON MY WAY' 'OKE TALK TO YOU LATER.'

My graduation day was coming and I was really excited. 'Finally Vic, we get to leave.' 'Yes seriously this place was hell' 'Yess exactly my point.' 'But you have to be honest without this school we wouldn't be so close.' 'Yes babe because we're literally to mean too other people, we didn't need anyone else.' 'You're so right.' We laughed it off. It was true though, I never needed more friends, because Vic and I are amazing together. People tried to become close to us, but every time we tried they'd get bored and move on. So we just decided, you know what, we just need us no one else. I am open for more friends in college though. I want to party and drink and do stuff with people. Being in a friend group of two is nice, but we never partied or anything.

-After graduation-

'Let's go celebrate girls!' My mom said to me and Vic. 'Where are we going?' Vic and I asked. 'We're going to your favorite diner!' 'YES'

Victoria and me always go to this one diner. After a break up or after a fight, we go here just to eat in silence, sometimes we make conversation or we cry. But the rule is no judging each other. We also go to this diner for celebrations. For example when Victoria lost her virginity, or when I finally broke up with my toxic boyfriend. The diner is a little retro. It has photos of all these amazing artists. Queen, Prince, Whitney Houston, Nirvana, ACDC, Amy Winehouse etc. But also new artists like Ariana Grande, Christina Aguilera and Harry Styles.

There is a jukebox at the diner, we use it way to often. We have songs for every occasion. When we are feeling sad we usually go for 'Who wants to live forever' by Queen. And when we feel happy we go for 'We will rock you' again by Queen.

Sometimes we go to the diner on our own and we meet. But usually we go together. The staff knows us pretty well and we are proud to say that we are regulars. The owner is a really sweet lady who loves us both. Her name is Matilda, but we call her Miss M most of the time. The name of the diner is Muse. It's named after Miss M's daughter who moved to Australia for school. Victoria and I always sit down with Miss M and listen to her stories. She's the sweetest lady ever. I am definetly going to miss her when we go to college.

We arrive at the diner and we sit next to the window. It's our usual spot. Miss M is there and she greets us. 'Welcome you two.' 'Hi Miss M.' We say in union. 'Miss M guess who are going to Evergreen Arts!' 'I guess my most dedicated customers are finally chasing their dreams!' 'Yes we are!' 'Don't worry Miss M we won't forget you.' 'They all say that' Miss M said dramatically. Miss M is a very kind lady, but she had a rough life. Her mom left her at a young age and her husband just died. You would think that her daughter would come and see her sometimes, but never ones has she ever visited. Poor Miss M, I am definetly going to miss her.

Our waitress comes to take our orders and Victoria and I order our usuals. We usually share the Nacho's but this day is special so we both order the nacho's, my mom orders the sausages with the peper saus. The entré was amazing as usual. Then the time came to order our main courses. I pick the mixed grill and Victoria orders the fish dish.

After we ate me and my mom basically begged Vic to stay the night. My mom loves her like she's a second daughter and she kind off is. I lover her like my sister and we will always be friend I hope.

-the next day-

We wake up to my mom yelling that breakfast is ready. We always eat breakfast together because my mom is a nurse so she can get calls any second of the day. The morning is basically the only time I know she is there. Sometimes she has to work more hours and I end up bringing her breakfast to bed because I am an amazing daughter, but today she's here.

'How'd you sleep girls?' 'Slept like a baby mom. ' 'Yes me too I slept amazing, thank you for letting me stay!' Victoria is always really nice her mom and dad raised her to be very polite. Her parents are a little strict. It took a lot of time to convince them that I am in fact a 'good girl'. At last They trust me now.

'You girls are going to have to start packing one of these days' 'I know right! This is going to be so exciting' Victoria squealed. 'Yess! Us two in a dorm and living together it can't get any better than this!' It is easy to say that we are excited
