Corruption Book One: Amnesia

Where Am I? Who Am I?

What if you woke up from a weird dream not being able to remember anything?

"RUN! ITS ALMOST HERE!" I shouted as a pair of purple eyes chased us faster and faster. Then with my luck, of course I fell. The dragon hovered over me and sprayed a magenta liquid, then flew away. Darkness consumed me, and I was asleep.

~Five Days Later~

"Huh? Where, am I? I don't get it I was dead? W-was it all a dream?" I got up slowly from a bed, just to see it was hooked up with wires and gadgets. I'm in a hospital I thought to myself. But why? My question was held back by two random people that burst forward, but I felt that somehow I knew these people, but how? HOW! I wracked through my brain but found nothing. By this time I was being crushed by hugs. All I managed to get out was "Can't- breathe-too-hard." They instantly let go, causing me to fall to he floor. Laughing at my clumsiness. When I looked at them confused, their smiles slowly turned into puzzled looks as well. The boy on the left asked "What do you remember Ty?" Ty, was that my name? I snapped back to reality. I looked at him clearly now, he had short dark brown curly hair, and was a little pudgy. The boy on the right had spiky brown hair, and wore a red and black checkered hoodie. The one on the right extended his hand to help me up. I took it and instantly I felt dizzy and my head started to sting. I saw pictures of this man in my head and once again fell to the floor curled up into a ball and screaming. Then I slipped into a deep sleep.

~Mitch's POV~

I held my hand out to him and he took it, but almost right as he did he started to scream and curled himself up in a ball on the floor. Then he passed out. I looked at Adam confused, yet worried for our friend. What had I done? An even better question is what happened out there? I told Adam to grab Ty's legs while I grabbed his torso. We tugged him onto the bed and I told Adam to stay with him while I ran to get Seto.

~Seto's POV~

I was sitting on my bed, spell casting when I heard a loud crash at my door. I opened it to a panting Mitch, grabbing my arm he ran us to the infirmary. He led me to a bed and I saw Ty, but this was not him. His usual green aura was slowly being consumed by a lovely shade of purple. Mitch and Adam must have seen my worry, because they too looked upset. "It's alright, I think he's fine." I lied, "I'll double check him, alright?" They nodded and left me alone with him. I made him awake to see that his eyes were also becoming that same color. He seemed to know who I was. So I looked through his memories only to find to my horror, what I hoped not had happened. He has been corrupted by a dragon. But this case is not the same as before. This is the essence of the Ender Dragon. Which means, Ty is being corrupted by the Ender Dragon.

~Ty's POV~

My head hurts, my back hurts, my eyes hurt. I rose and saw a man dressed in purple. I smiled for no reason at this man and before I could stop myself I talked. "Seto! 'Sup man! Haven't seen you in a while bud!" Wait. How do I know this man? Does he know me? He smiled back and replied with happiness covering sorrow. Sorrow for what? Or whom? "I'm glad your awake Ty, and I know you did just wake up but I have to do something with you that might sting a little. Is that alright with you?" I nodded slowly, and he approached me. He rose his hands to my head and put our foreheads next to each other. Instantly I felt the pain in my head grow stronger, it felt as though it were being ripped apart. Then I saw more images like before. After he had finished, he looked worse than he did before. Then I felt more pain. Not the physical pain, emotional pain. Streaming out of me through my tears. Was I a monster? Or was I going to become something even worse? Seto got up and grabbed my arm, dragging me into another room. I felt the pain in my back again. This time it was terrible, almost unbearable. He looked at me even more worried now. What was happening to me?

~Seto's POV~

This is bad, very bad. The transformation is already happening, how long until he's consumed by the power? Not long. It came to me as a faint chuckle. No, he will not give in to your power! Neither will I! retaliated too weak, the voice laughed harder. "NO!" I shouted causing all eyes to turn to me and Ty. "Dood your losing it man! Guys he's finally cracked! Now who bet on March?" Half of the room raised their hands. I shook my head and sat Ty down. He looked a bit hesitant, but calmed down when I sat next to him. "Ty I want you to try and remember, so I'm going to have everyone re-introduce themselves and we'll see our result." I crossed my fingers, he slowly nodded in agreement. I relaxed, "Alright who will be the first to go?" Right as the words left my mouth, I heard a loud noise coming from the hall, following the noise came stumbling none other that Mitch and Jerome. Idiots I joked to myself. Jerome eventually got here first. "To whom are we being introduced to?" I gestured to Ty and Jerome started to laugh "Alright then I guess I'm Jerome, and I also think tat Seto here has lost his marbles!" Mitch pushed forward and then whispered in Jerome's ear and his grin turned to a frown. Then he stepped forward now facing Ty. "I'm Mitch, you met me in the infirmary remember?" Thankfully Ty nodded. So his amnesia is only temporary then... My thoughts were cut off by a loud high pitched yell. We ran to the noise to find Adam cradling a stiff Alesa. She looked as if she had just seen a ghost, or worse the voice said. I hate to think that way but for once I agreed with my dark side. She had seen something worse. But what?

~Alesa's POV~

The last thing I saw was a bright pair of magenta eyes. Then I woke up in Adam's arms. I saw Seto looking at me concerned, he waved his hand in front of me, then touched my forehead. He spoke "Does this feel painful?" I shook my head, he sighed. "What happened? Do you remember anything?" I nodded, "I-I remember a pair of purple eyes in front of me." I said very shakily. Seto walked over to a wall angrily and punched it, leaving a massive hole. Then he seemed to calm down slowly, but this new behavior seemed to scare everyone. Usually he always kept his cool, seeing him get mad was a big shock to us all. He looked at us, then at the hole, then to his hands. His eyes turned back to us, horrified at what he had just done, and ran to his study.

~Seto's POV~

Had I just done that? Why did I lose it? I slammed my study door close, and sank down to my knees. I stood up and started to skim through all of my books, looking for something. Just something.

~Ty's POV~

I knocked on the giant doors, and they opened. I entered slowly, there were books scattered everywhere, and Seto was lying on the ground sobbing. I ran to him and pulled him up, "What happened? What is going on? I know something's up." He looked at me and we made eye contact. His eyes were bloodshot and had shadows moving in them. I let him go, "Is that normal?" He nodded, and told me about his "dark side" and I comforted him like he did to me. Then he explained what happened to Alesa, "What happened to you almost happened to her. That's what happened. The eyes she spoke of, were the eyes of the Ender Dragon. The legendary beast was planning to get control of a weak soul to control, he may yet have failed with you." I asked him why he thought that, "It is because I know you are strong-willed and can overcome his commands. Alas, you cannot stop the mutation that has been transferred to you." I offered to help pick up the books, but he refused and told me to get some rest. Right as I left the room I ran into Alesa, she seemed to still be a bit shaken up, but not too bad. I apologized to her and then offered to walk with her. "Sure, I could use some company. Adam is out with Tyler and Jason so I've been walking around." I smiled, I knew for sure this was another person I could trust. We got into a conversation about my "condition". "I don't know exactly whats going on, but Seto said something about the Ender Dragon having trouble corrupting my soul. He said that may be the reason he attacked you, because you have a certain innocence that the Dragon thought he could easily control. But that is what saved you, your innocence protected you, I think." She looked at me and told me that she was sometimes too innocent. She said Adam found it adorable and funny. "Now on to the subject of Tyler." She paused but kept walking. I waited for her to finish, but she didn't. Finally she looked at me with worried eyes scanning the area. "I had to make sure nobody was listening, I think what you said earlier about my innocence might be true, but I also think otherwise. Before the beast left, it spoke to me. It told me I was not meant to be alive, it said that I was the angel that killed Brine Hero, a man that had sheltered and raised the Dragon with love and compassion. In return the Dragon had Brine's safety secured, until I came along and crushed his heart."
