We flew out early in the morning and even though we didn't tell the girls what time we departed I still hoped they would be there.
Me: Bye... See you soon...
I sent the text and didnt expect a response.
Sherri: I'll miss you... be safe.I closed my eys and sat back in the plane seat. Luke poked my face. "What do you want?" i popped open one eye and Luke had his camera in my face. "Say hi!" I smiled and groaned. "Noooo Luke go away!" I covered my face and he laughed climbing over me to get to Calum. I stayed seated in my seat and looked at my phone. i wanted to call her before we took off just to hear her voice. It had only been a couple days but damnn there was just something about that girl i couldnt shake. "Hey man you can't let having a girlfriend destract you too bad you still have to be Michael Clifford." Ashton placed a hand on my shoulder as he peered over the seat. "Yeah I know." i put my phone away and climed over the seat to sit next to him. "Why can't you boys sit like civilized human beings!" John yelled from the back of the plane. "Civilized! Civilized! I don't know the meaning of the word!" Calum yelled at the top of his lungs. we alled laughed as he stripped off his shirt and started waving it around his head. "Who would ever want to be civilized?" I joined in dancing next to Calum. Luke pointed his camera at us and I stuck out my tongue. He laughed and put the camera down. "I wanna party too!" he yelled joining our conga line in the center of the plane. Ashton stripped off his shirt and Luke and I shrugged and joined in shedding our shirts over our heads and dancing to no music. When we landed the boys and I were exhausted. I slept the entire way back to the hotel. We had a show tonight in Houston, Texas and then we'd be back on the plane heading to Michigan. The managers said I could fly Sherri out when we got to Indiana. That was a week from tomorrow. Luke was excited to see Anissa again. Once checked into the hotel I dropped my bag in my room and fell into the cushions of my bed. I grabbed my phone and dialed Sherri. "Hello?" I smiled. "Hey babe, is it okay if I call you that?" I bent my free arm behind my head. "Yes haha only if I can do the same." I could hear rustling in the back ground. "What are you doing?" I closed my eyes and listened to her talk. "Oh a class mate and I have a project we are doing on phobias for my psych class." She explained to me. "What is a phobia?" I asked her. "Are you asking because you don't know...?" I laughed. "No I just wanna hear your voice actually." She rambled on about phobias and what classifies a fear as a phobia. "Babe?" My eyes popped open. "Did I fall asleep?" I sat up and rubbed my eyes. "Yeah but it's okay really I know you're tired. Why don't you rest and call me later." I nodded even thought she couldn't see me. "Okay bye, I'll call you." She said bye and I hung up. A moment later there was a knock at my door and Luke walked in. "What's up." I greeted and he plopped down on the bed next to me. "So you and Sherri moved it fast." He elbowed me and smiled. "Haha I just didn't want to lose her. There is something different about the way she is. Something honest." Luke nodded. "Oh I know trust me." I smiled. "What you see that in Anissa too?" Luke smiled and shook his head. "She's a sweetie for sure and really beautiful. I don't know if I'd say her and Sherri were the same though. I like Anissa a lot but I wouldn't have asked her out as quickly as you asked Sherri. I mean I didnt. I would've asked sled Sherri though..." I looked at Luke. I figured with Anissa around Luke would move on from Sherri but it was obvious I wasn't the only one captivated. "Look man I love you but you try anything..." Luke patted my arm. "Nah man, I told you. Don't screw up." He winked at me and laid back. Luke liked Anissa so why couldn't he focus on her? Why did he want Sherri? Luke made himself comfy and flipped on my TV. Sometimes he pissed me off. He was so sweet and so innocent to the public but he embraced this lifestyle more than anyone. He knew the girls fawnned over his every move and he loved it. He wasn't like an ass hole or anything he was just... annoying. He knew he could get any girl and typically that was whatever but now he wanted Sherri and I wasn't going to let him win. "I have to go for a walk." I got up and threw on a hoodie. I couldn't leave the hotel but roofs were safe. I took off toward the stairs and took them two at a time until I reach the door. The cool night air hit my face and and took and deep breath. "FUCK!" I yelled into the night. A couple walking by looked up with disgusted faces. I pulled out my phone and dialed Sherri. It rang a few times before she answered. "Hey I'm just getting out of class is everything okay?" She asked I could hear chatter in the background. "Yeah just needed to hear your voice." I could hear her smiled in her next words. "Well then I guess you called the right person. I miss you Michael." Her voice sounded sad. "I miss you too but I talked to some people and I have permission for you to come out to Indiana." I could feel her excitement through the phone. "That's awesome! What about Anissa?" I explained to get that since Anissa and Luke weren't actually dating he couldn't send her tickets. We were only supposed to give then to family and significant others. However I could send her two. One for her and one for a family member. Who she gave it to was none of my business. I sat on the edge of the roof my legs dangling off the side of the buildinh. There was a railing that hit right at my stomach so I knew I was safe. "So what are you doing babe?" I smiled when she called me babe. "That sounds so good coming from you arena sitting on the edge of the roof of our hotel." I could see a rend small group of fans pooled arena round the base of the building. They couldn't see me but they were still chanting our names. "Why...?" She questioned gently "Don't worry I just needed some air." Her sigh of relief was exaggerated. "Thank goodness ij thought I was going to have to start dating one of the other boys." She joked but her joke was too close to home. I forced a laugh but the pang of jelously made it a gruff laugh. "You sure you're okay hun?" She asked again concern laced her voice. "Yes I promise. Luke is just... annoying." That wasn't a lie. She laughed and took it like I meant her was being silly and no annoying rather than being an ass. "Yo Mike you up here?" I heard Calum call from the stair well. "Yeah over here Cal." I called back "Oh tell Calum I said hi!" Sherri said excitedly into the phone. "Sherri says hi by the way." I told Calum as he sat with his back to the ledge. "Tell her I said hi. Dude we have sound check in twenty minutes and they need us in wardrobe." Calum had a sympathetic look in his eyes. "Damn it. Alright. Hey baby I'm going to have to go. It about show time." I could hear her sigh. "Okay then call me after if you can." Her sadness broke me. "Okay bye." I hung up the phone and followed Calum downstairs. "It'll be okay man. I promise." I nodded. Man I hoped he was right.
