The zoo is not where you expect to be on your very first date.
Jimin told you last night to wear something casual and that he'd surprise you. You, being a massive overthinker, decided to wear a skirt and formal, frilly blouse.
Meanwhile, your date showed up to pick you up in sweatpants and black t-shirt.
Either way, he didn't seem to mind too much and still drove you here.
Now, you and him are admiring the wondrous creatures through thick panes of glass and other various fencing material. It's amazing that you haven't had a nervous freak out so far, and Jimin seems to be pretty chill as well.
"After we finish this exhibit, do you wanna grab a bite to eat?"
You smile and nod to him, humming an agreement while trying to win a staring contest with an especially feisty monkey. He notices this and playfully cuts in between you and the glass wall, blocking your view.
"Hey, you're on a date with me," he whines, "not the monkey."
You laugh at that, and let him lead the way to the rest of the exhibit.
Jimin is a nice guy. He's a good mixture of funny and kind, but he also has a slightly mischievous side that screams Slytherin. On top of that, it's easy for you to talk to him. You thought that conversation with the opposite sex would be painfully awkward, but now you feel pretty comfortable with him.
Unlike Jungkook or Shower Boy, you don't find yourself tripping up over your words every minute.
This is a good sign, right?
It must mean that you're developing feelings for him because you're comfortable with him.
"Look, it's a lion!" you yell, smacking his arm in excitement when the big cat starts to approach you. "It's a lion. Oh my god that's a lion."
"Yes, yes it is," he laughs. Said lion is now a mere foot or so away from the glass, making you even more excited.
"The lion is coming toward us. Look -- the lion!"
Yes, this is the first time you've ever seen a lion.
"Wait, sorry, what is that animal again? I'm not sure if you mentioned it."
You roll your eyes, feeling giddy about his teasing and overall happy with this date so far.
While walking through the final bits of the hallway, Jimin's phone buzzes; his ringtone is Shawn Mendes', Lost in Japan, and your mind can't help but wander to when Shower Boy said that he was going to sing it.
