Savannah looked disdainfully at Harry. Then, she sashayed off with her cousin and best friend, Clarisse Fernsby.
She absolutely hated boys.
That's all she could think as she walked home, with a huge crowd of extremely girly girls huddled around her.
She was very popular, probably due to her quick wit, joking personality, curiosity, leadership skills (though sometimes she was too bossy) and deep kindness and caringness, which would find if you were truly her friend. Being popular was all good if you liked attention, but to her it was lonely. She was always surrounded by people who hardly knew her, and just wanted to be left alone by. The only person who REALLY knew her was Clarisse.
She decided to brush all her previous thoughts about fake friends and irritating boys aside and sat down on her bed, which wasn't as nice as Clarisse's, since her Uncle Craig clearly favoured his own daughter.
Anyway, she sat determinedly on her bed and thought about what the purpose of the letter was.
She knew that annoying little Harry Potter had no relatives but the Dursleys, so that could be ruled out. She also knew he had no friends because due to his idiotic rivalry with Dudley, the young Dursley had told everyone not to make friends with Harry, or there would be punishment, and no one wanted to get on the bad side of Dudley.
She pondered further.
A school? No, the Dursley's would NEVER sign Harry up for a school! He just wasn't precious enough.
About an hour later, after having gone through all the possibilities, Savannah collapsed on her not-as-nice bed, clearly frustrated, and stared blankly at the ceiling.
*************************************************
"Harry! Tell us who wrote it and why it came by that owl!" Vernon Dursley screeched.
"I-Idont know!"
"Of cour-"
They both stopped talking as an owl flew past and Mr Dursley howled:
"Oh not another one!"But changed his mind when he saw it gliding not to them, but to the house next door: the prim and proper house of the Fernsbys.

Savannah was now bored of the ceiling. She decided that maybe Harry's letter deserved a little more thought?
So she sat up on her bed, ready to start thinking, when a papery thing hit her in the face!
It was Harry's letter!
She wasn't the sort of person to read other people's letters, no matter how irritating those people were, so set her mind on going to return it.
But just examining the outside couldn't do any harm.
As she carefully read the intricate emerald script, she realised she had made a mistake.
This letter was not for Harry, it was for her!
She opened it and read it to herself.
"Dear Miss Black,
I am writing to you from the prestigious school of Hogwarts to let you know you have been accepted.
I am sure you will be wondering how this is possible, where Hogwarts is and why we want you.
I'm afraid all I can tell you at the moment is that Hogwarts' full name is Hogwarts, school for Witchcraft and Wizardry. In shorter terms, magic. We teach magic.
You are most likely questioning the existence of magic, so we have arranged for Rubeus Hagrid, our gamekeeper, to visit and demonstrate some of the few spells he is permitted to do. He will visit on the 30th August, at 9am and from there will take you school shopping.
On reading this letter, please give it to your aunt and uncle, who have something to explain.
We look forward to having you.
Yours Sincerely,
Minerva McGonagall
Deputy HeadGaping, She rushed downstairs, gave her aunt and uncle the letter.
"Ok, nice joke." She said to them
"Savannah, this isn't a joke."
They explained her parents' backstory. They told her about the wizarding wars. They told her how her parents, well, parent, since her father was alive, just in hiding, really died, as a hero, alongside Harry's parents.
"So Harry is magical too?"
"Yes," Mr Fernsby replied," but it seems the Dursley's are having a hard tim telling him!"
So Savannah Black, now a witch, raced up to her room, thinking about the day.
She was excited to go to Hogwarts, of course, but now she new that her dream from a few nights earlier was not a dream, but a flashback.
