CONTAINS YAOI! (BOY X BOY LOVE!) DON'T LIKE DON'T READ! HOPE YOU LIKE IT~!
My life had started when I was ten years old. You may say that it had started before then because no one starts their life at the age of ten, but my life finally had meaning on my tenth birthday.
I had been doing what most children do when they are kids, eat dirt, play with sticks, and such but unlike most other boy, who had a fascination with becoming a knight or rescuing a damsel in distress, I always thought of myself as a damsel. Yes it seemed silly then because I was a child and a boy but I could never see myself in thick plated armor on a worthy steed.
One day when I was out in the foot hills with most of the other children, my mother and father beckoned for me. I waved to my friends indicating that I had to leave and dashed back to my home just outside the thick gray castle walls.
I stood at the wooden door where my mother and father stood with joyful grins.
"Haruka..." my mother started, looking as if she were about to burst.
"you have been chosen to serve a knight!" my father finally said with tears of happiness in his eyes.
The slight smile I had on my face slowly disappeared while my parents, only grew. It was a great honor to be chosen to serve a knight, as it meant that you were chosen to become one yourself. I couldn't imagine becoming a knight, the very thought of death made my skin crawl and my ears ring. I wanted to beg my parents to decline the offer, but it seemed they were the ones who had pleaded the king to allow me to become one.
I went back to my friends with a displeased scowl and said "I am leaving tomorrow morning...and I won't be coming back." one boy out of the crowed seemed upset. The other children ran off and continued playing but the one boy stayed behind. He and I were mates, we used to try to catch fish in the pond, and behind the bread shop we shared our first kiss. I lowered my head and started to run, but he caught me by the arm.
"why...?" he asked with an upset frown.
"Leave me alone!" I shouted as I pushed him down.
I ran back home to get ready to leave in the morning I wouldn't be seeing any of those kids anymore. Back then it didn't hit me, I only realized I was upset and I had to leave for a while.
When I got back to my house I walked into my room and my mother had a large sack she had made when she was just a girl. She put my cloths, which were just rags with stains and holes for my limbs. I couldn't sleep that night the night seemed quieter than usual. I pulled my blanket made of a goats skin up to my chest and let out a few tears. In the end I fell asleep from exhaustion.
The next morning I was woken by my mother who seemed more than joyed that I would be leaving. I climbed out of bed and my mother kept giving me little unnecessary tips like, "don't forget to to eat properly, and stay warm, also be sure to listen to everything the night tells you understand?" I nodded with a scowl.
The sun was high in the sky. My mother strapped the sack to my back with a cloth that looked like it was from my bed and my father walked me to the castle doors.
"its much farther away than it looks..." I said softly to my father.
"yup!" He said enthusiastically.
When we got to the door of the castle the guards stopped us. They were in metal armor with funny looking helmets.
"halt peasant! What business have you at the castle?" the guard asked in a monotone voice.
