(Requested by AGremlinChild , mild angst, real life ice skater!Tommy, the writer knows nothing about ice skating so they took their short experience with acrobatics)

Ever since Tommy was a little boy he found an interest with ice skating, he didn't know how he found out about the mesmerizing sport, but it popped into his head and never left.

His mom always claimed it was too feminine for a rambunctious boy like him and his dad didn't seem to care if he did or didn't want to learn.
None of this stopped him though, he kept on asking and asking, then finally he won!
At age 11 his mom gave up, signing him up for classes and he's been doing them since.

Tubbo kept on blabbering in excitement as the blonde gathered his things, occasionally fixing the uncomfortable v-neck of his costume.

"That's why my dad was so confused and stuff, he was all like" the shorter put on a fake deep-voice
" 'We've known this boy for years and you never bothered to tell us he's a competitive ice skater?' And I honestly don't know why I never told them, I used to be a trampolinist after all!"

"Well you never think those things through Tubbs,"

"Is that an insul-"
the intercom of the changing room let out a blaring static noise, they knew what they wanted but the person on the other side was probably paid to talk to him.

"Tommy Simons, you're performance is in 5 minutes"

He smiled softly, picking up his shoes and motioning for his best friend to follow him.
The halway was decorated to look like a little girls dream, just from the veiw they got from the door it looked like it could be part of a mansion.

"I honestly have no clue how I managed to get here at 16,"
Tubbo chuckled, opening the door to the ice rink,

"Go do your thing Big-Man!"
The boy with blue eyes nodded and stepped out, the blade of his shoes clacking softly as he got his balance.

It was all going well, the announcer told everyone who he was and what school he was preforming for, the whole big deal.
There was a ribbon that was a part of his suit that he could slip off, the crowd giving a short gasp as he mixed in some ribbon dancing.

But then it all went to shit, his ribbon slipped out of his hand and he tried to swerve to grab it.
His left foot slipped and he crashed down onto his knee, the blade of his left shoe digging harshly into just above his other foot, not to mention the failed attempt to use his elbow to protect his head.

It was all brought together with a THUMP and Tommys shriek.
from then on he couldn't see, but someone was whispering to him that he would be fine.

The doctors just said it was a nasty sprain.

But it's been 1 month and around half a week, it's not getting any better. His head healed just fine as it was a briuse or two, but his god-forsaken "SpRaIn".
Things didn't seem like they would get any better at this point, but he kept waiting and waiting.
Tubbo visited a lot more too, the blonde couldn't understand why.

"What now?"
The brunette asked, munching on a dull-tasting cracker.

"Have you ever birdwached?" Tommy replied, his hand grazing over the rough fabric of the picnic blanket.

"Nah, the birds always look the same this kind of year,"

"Then.. I don't know," his blue eyes trailed down to his foot, recently placed bandages reflecting the bright sun.
He didn't think he was gonna get better, but he had a doctors appointment on Saturday.
He could only hope.
