"Shut up!" Derek whispered to Karen. "I'm sorry!" "I'm too excited!" She whispered back. As soon as they stepped out the hotel doors they both felt the cool salty ocean breeze on their cheeks. Karen jumped into the pool cannon ball style while Derek slipped into the hot tub, but as soon as his leg got in he realized how extremely cold it was. "This thing is freezing!" He loudly whispered to Karen, but she didn't seem to mind that much. He glanced around and saw a knob for the tub. He got out and scurried over to it and turned on the heat. He quickly got back into the tub and it immediately got warmer. He had closed his eyes for just a second and Karen got out of the pool. He glanced at Karen who was speed walking toward him. She failed to notice the pool noodle in her path and tripped. Derek's heart dropped for a moment, but realized no one heard her. Karen was reaching up the wall to help herself up, but accidentally grabbed the fire alarm. "BEEP!" BEEP!" "BEEP!" It rung in their ears while Derek screamed at Karen. Dammit Karen!" HE scolded her, but she ran to the beach. He had wished he ran to the beach also because he heard someone coming out the hotel doors. He knew if he ran to the beach he would be caught so he ducked his head underwater right in the knick of time. "Where are you? You know you're not supposed to be out here!" A hotel worker yelled. Derek had been holding his breath for a while and was just about to turn himself in when he noticed something. The water had gotten very hot and bubbly. He pulled his head out of the water gasping for air. The worker ran to confront him, but the water in the hot tub shot into the sky taking Derek with it. It took him in the air so high he was above the 400 foot building. He looked down at the beach and saw Karen.  She was screaming, but not for him. A giant tidal wave 10 times as big as she was was hurdling down on her. When the waves receded he saw Karen's body lying next to a big piece of driftwood. He had forgotten about where he was until he felt a stabbing pain in his thigh. He looked and saw a piece of the fence impaling his leg. He looked into the sky and saw a giant piece of concrete hurdling down on his head, squashing it like a bug. Blood was spurted everywhere, but most of it went onto the hotel worker.
