matthew didn't know how to react to what had happened yesterday. they were graduating in two days. they were going to have to say goodbye in two days. he had to get everything ready over the summer and get everything into his apartment that he's sharing with one of his friends.

"mom, how am i supposed to tell her i'm leaving after graduation?" he asked, plopping down beside his mother.

"i don't know, honey. i've never had this problem before. your father and i met in college," she spoke softly to her son.

"you're not helping, mom." he looked at her with dark circles under his eyes. he hasn't gotten any sleep. not a single drop of sleep.

however, layla can't stop crying herself to sleep. she cannot accept the fact her and matthew will be miles apart. she doesn't like being away from him. as she's away from him now, she needs it and she knows that.

"layla, you cannot just lie around all day. do something," her mother told her, opening her door a little.

"go away." (a/n: mE AF RN) layla said, putting her head under her pillow. her mother pulled her from her bed.

"i'll make you ramen," layla's head peered out of the sheet she dragged with her. she got up, wiped her face, and headed downstairs. she grabbed her phone from the table to see many messages from matthew, with missed calls.

"here, ignore him for now. you need some space, hun." she shut her phone off, making herself go off grid. that didn't refrain her from posting on tumblr and twitter.

"@laylamarieee: maybe i should give up because i don't even know about us anymore..."

she tweeted about matthew, but she didn't know he saw it.
