So you heard someone describes themselves as an ENFP or INFJ etc. and you be like wha-
They're referring to their personality types based on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator(MBTI). It's desingned to identify a person's personality type, strength and preferences.
Each MBTI is listed by its four letter code:
.ISTJ- The Logistician
.ISTP- The Virtuoso
.ISFJ- The Defender
.ISFP- The Adventurer
.INFJ- The Advocate
.INFP- The Mediator
.INTJ- The Architect
.INTP- The Logician
.ESTP- The Entrepreneur
.ESTJ- The Executive
.ESFP- The Entertainer
.ESFJ- The Consul
.ENFP- The Campaigner(Hi me!!)
.ENFJ- The Protagonist
.ENTP- The Debater
.ENTJ- The Commander
(hope I put them right)
According to verywellmind.com, MBTI is not really a "test". There is no right or wrong answers and one type is not better than any other type. The purpose of the indicator is not to evaluate mental health or offer any type of diagnosis.
Also, unlike many other types of phycological evaluations, you're results are not compared againts any norms. Instead of looking at your score in comparison to the result of other people, the goal of the instrument is to simply offer further information about your own unique personality.
The real MBTI must be administered by a trained and qualified practitioner that includes a follow up of the results. Today, people often use sites, and one of the most popular is 16personalities but actually, the more accurate one are key2cognition or sakinorva.net(but learn about cognitive functions, don't rely on the tests)
I'm lazy to blabla so eh..
