Chapter 2

"What do you want?"

Yeonjun was so busy even to answer a phone call. He wouldn't even have cared to respond if it wasn't for Soobin's call.

"Rude! Can't I talk to my boyfriend?.. Hmph!"

Soobin is a sulky baby when it comes to their relationship. He'll stop reasoning and turn into a 5-year-old whiny kid.

"Binnie, you can, but I'm a bit busy with company work right now."

On the other hand, Yeonjun is the mature one here, and he certainly knows how to handle his whiny baby. Just a few nicknames and a soft tone of voice is all needed.

"Your office timing is over. What work are you doing now? You don't have pending works too!"

Soobin scrunched his eyebrows in confusion as he knew this was something unusual. Of course, they know each other's schedules by heart; that's the result of being in a relationship for five years now. They know each other like the back of their hands.

"Yeah. But today, staff from our creation department got fired, and we are looking for a responsible person to fill the job, and that is taking some time."

Yeonjun calmly explained while at the same time going through files of workers and evaluating their profiles as he had his boyfriend's call on speaker. Multitasking is Yeonjun's speciality.

"Kang Taehyun is fierce, chucking out employees left, right, centre; I can't understand how you aren't fired yet."

To puts things simple, Soobin doesn't really like this Kang Taehyun guy. Reasons? There is only one!

"Bin, I've told you a million times to not talk about Taehyun. That topic never goes smooth between us."

The reason, Yeonjun & Soobin have a solid relationship, but if there is one thing they argue over is anything related to Kang Taehyun. Soobin thinks Yeonjun pays more attention to that big-eyed cat than him, & he is confident that Yeonjun is hiding something about this Taehyun guy, which leads to Soobin constantly trying to find it, which further leads to unnecessary arguments & fights between them because Yeonjun never reveals anything about Taehyun, not even in sleep.

"Whatever."

Yeonjun is glad that Soobin dropped the topic, he hates fighting with his baby, but on the other hand, he can't reveal the secret he knows about Taehyun, not when he promised. Not just to Soobin but anyone. Yeonjun's thoughts got interrupted when Soobin was staring shouting. He even dropped few papers in the process.

"OH MY GOD!"

"W-What, what the fuck Bin! Why are you shouting?"

Yeonjun kept a hand on his chest dramatically, and damn, he needed to bend down to pick up the scattered papers on the floor.

"I think it's a destiny, Junnie."

"A Wha-"

What now? Yeonjun couldn't understand shit, but his eyes widened when Soobin spoke

"I need that job for Beomgyu."

That's it, Soobin pressed the trigger button on Yeonjun. The older boy hasn't met Beomgyu many times, but Soobin always tells him whenever Beomgyu got fired from work & he needs extra time to find his best friend a job, there was even a time when he had to cancel his date with Yeonjun.

Yeonjun is not possessive like Soobin. He can't do that just because Soobin cares about Beomgyu, because he can put himself in the latter's shoes. He basically does the same thing for Taehyun. But, Taehyun is a fantastic guy, responsible, he knows his shit, on the contrary, Beomgyu! He is a whole lot of troublemaker, a menace, so he never liked that boy that much, scratch that, he doesn't even like him a very bit. Obviously, his reaction to what Soobin asked will be something like this,

"FOR CHOI FUCKING BEOMGYU? Hell, no. I said someone responsible, for God's sake."

"Oh, come on, Hyung, he's very talented; he'll do a great job."

"Yeah. of course, and for how many days? See Bin; we are looking for permanent staff, not someone who'll get bored in a matter of days and run away. Damn, I can't even imagine how he is like that."

Yeonjun's face visibly showed every sign of irritation when he thought about Beomgyu, the exact same reaction Soobin had when talking about Taehyun.

"Hyung, don't say anything bad about our baby bear."

'Baby bear'

Yeonjun silently mimicked it mockingly as he rolled his eyes but chose not to talk back, and Soobin continued.

"Hyung, who can help me and my best friend?"

"In this case, no one."

"Exactly, so please hire him."

"Yeh, but, WAIT A DAMN MINUTE. ISN'T HE THE NEXT HEIR TO OUR RIVAL COMPANY?"

Shit, Yeonjun just remembered the most important thing. He is going to give a nice scolding to Soobin for even bringing this up without thinking.

"Calm down, he is, but no one knows that you shouldn't be yelling about it while you are in the office and he isn't interested in taking over the company, Taehyung Hyung thinks one day Beom will agree, but as his best friend I need to consider his choices too and right now, his choice is to be managing a creative department."

"Oh, wait, Doesn't Kim Taehyung own another company in partnership with his boyfriend Jeon Jung-"

"Hyung, please, we are going off-topic."

"Ok. Whatever, b-but Bin, Taehyun will never accept this, did you even think about it? If he ever gets to know this, he'll lose his mind."

I don't want that to happen

Soobin became silent as he thought through this, Damn how did he forget both of them were in rival companies shit? He even had to keep his relationship with Yeonjun a secret from Kim Taehyung. Added to all that, even if Choi Beomgyu's identity is hidden as of now, it will indeed be outed to the world one day. This shit will screw up things very bad.

"You know how much both the company founders hated each other. That is, Taehyun's and Beomgyu's fathers."

Yeonjun said this particular sentence in a whisper as if he was scared to talk about this topic, and Soobin nodded his head with a pout on his bunny lips as if Yeonjun could see him.

"You're right. This is indeed getting a lot complicated."

"Yeah. So, my Binnie will drop this idea, right?~"

Yeonjun asked in a babying tone, like singing a lullaby. He wanted to change the mood and make his boyfriend feel better, which definitely worked as Soobin started to blush, and he let out a series of giggles which in turn made Yeonjun's heart flutter. They are deeply in love, getting endeared over the smallest of things each other do.

"Yes, Hyungie, I'll find some other company."
