Proto-pairs and anti-pairs collide,

releasing the demon from the den

to stalk the earth for new game

as accomplice of minions of Satan.

To make the thing in itself, called life,

a blood letting horror tale of murder and mayhem,

the blood-curdling dagger and cloak sequence

full of stunning shock and tragedy.

.

The mirror-image, my demonic other

walking through life in the reverse

enacts sleepwalker’s scene of a gun-totting mad maniac

and  re-live the same  sequence over again.

.

I plead guilty of the heinous crime

which has caused havoc to my psyche,

of the collective conscience of the human race,

shaken the saner voices from their very roots.

Yet heart-broken I admit my share  in this madness none but myself the author of this plot

all twists and turns myself have wrought

unavailing all clever moves  to succour me out.

Caught in a maze  I wait and wait

but  no savior comes

nor a Santa or elf appears

with his/her wish-fulfilling tree and magic tricks.

None rises to save my child from gun-totting goons

stop them on the eve of Merry Christmas

from running amuck

and act spoilers of the cosmic celebrations.

Children massacred were as much mine

as yours as everyone’s, as of the earth-mother’s-

these  little angels of Sandy School

for whom five billion hearts rise to mourn in tearful grief.

Oh mother of infinite mercy and tenderness!

of love, peace and light!

apply healing balm to the wounds of mothers

who have lost their babes!

scrub clean the stains too deep for human tears,

mend the rupture in the tattered fabric of existence.

Let the Christmas spirit rule the hearts of all beings

that they  live in the divine harmony of your love.

your light lift the pall of soul-killing gloom,

you illumine every dark corner of existence.
