Me and Avani were at my house getting ready to go to Joshs, "did you tell your parents yet?" Omg I completely forgot to ask. "Shoot I forgot." Avani laughed, "I'll go ask them right now" I walked downstairs "hey can me and Avani go to Joshes house?" I stood there waiting for a response. "Who's going?" My dad asked "Umm me, Avani if allowed Jaden, Anthony and Josh." My parents looked at eachother "I don't see a reason why you couldn't." "K thank you!!" I ran back upstairs and told Avani they said yes "Ok good now grab a swimsuit and let's gooo!!" She demanded right as we got to the door Bryce stop us "where are you going?" He raised an eyebrow "A friends house." I rolled my eyes jokingly and walked out of my room. My whole family was pretty close, plus Avani.
Once we got to Joshes house I realized I forgot his sweatshirt. "Avani I forgot Joshes sweatshirt." She laughed "I'm sure he won't mind." She laughed and we knocked on the door, Jaden answered "it's not the pizza just the girls." We laughed and Jaden motioned us in Avani went right over to Anthony and I just followed behind her. "Hey guys." Anthony said as he hugged Avani, "I'm gonna go get something to drink." I walked away and went to the kitchen and grabbed a coke that was sitting out. Josh walked over to me "hey" I smiled "hey Joshy" I responded back "oh yeah I forgot you sweatshirt..." he laughed "oh it's okay." I call Josh Joshy as a joke but we both find it funny. Jaden yelled "Pizza is hereee!!" I laughed and everyone came to the kitchen. "Wait when's the first game?" I asked to start conversation. "Thursday" Josh responded to me "wait actually eww I'm gonna look so bad, I won't have time to get my hair or nails done" Normally before our first game I get my hair and nails done. "I'm sure you'll still be the prettiest cheerleader out there." Josh looked at me and smiled. I just started to blush "date already." Avani complained "yeah for real..." Jaden added I just kept eating my pizza. "Let's get in the pool" Anthony broke the silence.

"Hottie with a body" Avani said, she always hyped me up it made me feel so much better since I am always insecure "coming from you!!" We both laughed I put my shorts and shirt over top as we walked outside. Avani didn't cover up her swim Suit so she walked right in to the pool, me on the other hand I was really insecure and didn't wanna take off my clothes that were covering up my swim suit. "Come on Mackenzie." Someone from the pool yelled. "One second I yelled back." I put my hair up in a messy bun, and slowly took of my clothes. "You look great kenz... now get in" Avani yelled. I walked over and got it the pool quickly so my body would be covered by the water. "Your body is literally perfect I would kill for you body." Avani could clearly see how insecure I was right now. "Wait why are you so insecure?" Josh asked, "Honestly I don't know..." I lied. I mean when my best friend has the perfect body all these other girls posting pics of themselves in bikinis... LIKE how could I not be insecure. "I think your perfect." I blushed at what Josh had just said.
At this point we were now in the hot tub and it was 7:00pm "let's play a game" Anthony said, "I'm Down" Jaden replied "truth or dare...?" Avani threw that out there, and everyone agreed "so Mackenzie truth or dare?" Jaden smirked "Truth." I was not about to get dared to do something stupid. "Hmm ok do you like Josh?" I knew this was coming. "Remember if you lie you have to jump in the pool!" Avani said smiling. "Umm... I mean... is it to late to change to dare?" Everyone laughed "yep to late." Jaden answered me "ugh I guess you could say I like Josh.." that was so embarrassing, and I started to blush "yessss, omg called it!" Avani was celebrating, "And Josh what about you?" Anthony raised an eyebrow "what" Josh questioned "do you like Mackenzie." It was silent for a couple seconds which was super embarrassing. "Yeah..." everyone looked at Josh... "yeah.. you do!?" Avani ask, and he nodded I smiled. "You should change his contact name." I looked at Avani confused, "why..." "because Josh with those emojis are boring..." I laughed "and what would I change it to?" She smirked "Joshy with a bunch of hearts..." Everyone laughed "Avani we aren't dating..." right? He never asked me at least "shoot, sorry jumped ahead... Josh ask her." Avani insisted. Josh looked at me "umm... Mackenzie do you umm wanna be my girlfriend?" I looked at Avani then back at Josh "you can say no it's cool." I laughed "of course I'll be your girlfriend." Avani and Jaden cheered "now you can change his contact name..." I laughed again "And miss Avani what would I change it to?" She laughed "hand me your phone." I got out of the hot tub grabbed my phone and handed it to Avani "Josh send her a text." Josh did as she said

I didn't realize what time it was we didn't have school Tomorrow but had cheer at 6:30 am and I'm pretty sure the boys had football practice. We got out of the hot tub and dried off before we left I gave Josh a hug "that was so cute." Avani squealed as we pulled up to my house.
